Introduction

This is an in depth Yasuo guide. This is not a beginner guide and you will have to know basic combos such as eq, you will also need to know what all the abilities do. You may just look at the build or you can read what i have to say. Though i am not the best Yasuo in the world i do have 600+ games on him.

Runes

I like to run atk speed quints simply because it makes the cooldown of your q lower. Atk damage marks because Yasuo scales heavily with ad, it will also make early trades easier. Health seals for overall defense and magic resist glyphs to make laning against ap champions much easier.

Masteries

On Yasuo you can take Fervor, warlords, grasp, or thunderlords, however for most mid lane matchups its safer to bring warlords because when you get poked down by ranged mages or in a close duel with Akali you can heal a lot of hp when low.

Items

Stattik shiv provides great wave clear and burst. Phantom dancer gives crucial damage reduction and atk speed. So you may be wondering what is best for my match up. Against anyone on the green scale (see above) you usually wanna bring SS, Anyone in the yellow and red range and you might wanna bring PD as it gives the damage reduction for if your losing lane. But it all really depends on if your losing your lane or not, before buying either take a look at your enemies gold and yours, (calculate cs + kills + assists) if he or she is winning by 500ish gold you might wanna settle for PD unless you are sure you can win your lane.

Skill Sequence

People generally on Yasuo max q because it is your main damage source. Except Yasuos e does magic damage, its on a lower cooldown and generally make out plays easier. And if you max it the amount of time the mark Yasuo puts on a target lasts is lowered drastically. Never max your wind wall first because all it does is make the length bigger and reduces the cooldown compared to if you mac e or q you get more damage as well slight cool down reduction and in the earlier phases of the game your wind wall length wont matter much as there is only one opponent in your lane.

Farming

Farming with Yasuo is fairly simple. E to last hit single creeps to keep your e stacks up (Yasuo stacks upon using e (max 2 stacks) each stack increasing its damage by 25%). If threes i one or more creeps that need to be killed walk to a position where your q can hit all of them, or use your eq combo (upon using q mid e you will you will spin and your q will go around you).

Team Work

Yasuo is a very team fight oriented champion with his amazing ult he synergizes with many champion such as zyra and alistar. Hers a list of all champs yasuo can ult off of:
ali-w
bltiz-e
cho-q
diana-e
dravne-e
fizz-r
gragas-r
hec-e
janna-q,r
j4-e-q
jayce- melee e
lee-r
lulu-r
maplh-r
maokai-q
nami-q,r
naut-r
ori-r
quinn-3
rammus-q
riven-q
sej-1
singed-e
thresh-e
voli-q
wukong-r
xin-q
zar-e,r
ziggs-w
zyra-r
tali-w
In team fights generally you wanna wait for someone to engage if its one of the champs listed above wait for them to land a multi man knock up. If not stack up q for tornado with eq combo and go in make a multi man knock up and ult. Yasuo does well in extended teamfights as he uses no mana and has relatively low cooldowns he can stay in the teamfight until its over. Use your wind wall to block only crucial cc not aas.

Tricks/Tips

Yasuo can use his wind wall to gain vision. Yasuo can throw out his tornado then ward after throwing it to create a surprise ult. Yasuo can dash through raptor walls, krug wall, and gromp wall. Yasuo can eq on a creep flash mid eq onto a champion with 2 stacks of gathering storm to do a fancy eq flash r combo. Yasuos dash is a fixed range meaning he can push himself through walls, much like fizz q. Yasuo can use enemy minions to catch up with dash whilst chasing. Yasuo can wq or qw to animation cancel his tornado throw. yasuo can move while his q is moving meaning you can qe to catch up.

Pros / Cons

Pros: Yasuo has high mobility, high damage, and is very useful in teamfights. Yasuo can out play other champions and is probably one of the best midlaners out there.

Cons: Very very weak to cc. High skill cap. Very hard to play. has multiple ways to do things making it hard to choose which is right for that situation. And there is Malzahar, need i say more?
