Hey guys! ~ Some tips on how I play Irelia, maybe you'll enjoy it too? Hope so! :) ~momo

For Items, I like to start out with either boots & 3 pots, or depending on who I'm up against, a cloth armor or null magic mantle. Sometimes even Long Sword + 2 pots. If it's an AP top, then null magic mantle, but usually if it's someone AD, a bruiser, then cloth armor. Depending on who it is top, like a full tank Nasus, or Vlad? Sometimes I would get a blade of the ruined king, just rush it. Otherwise, usually I would rush a Trinity Force, upgrade my boots to Ninja Tabi or Merc Treads. Late game I like to finish up with a build like - Trinity Force, Ninja Tabi/Merc Tread (Homeguard or Furor), Guardian Angel, Wits End, Black Cleaver & Zephyr.

Farming with Irelia is quite easy with her Q, but using it too much to farm will result in a lot of mana wasted, yes it refund 35 mana if it slays the target but uses way too much mana on too many minions. Another way is to use her ultimate, her ultimate is a great farming tool in her kit, in duels as top when she ults, she can use her ultimate to hit her enemy and minions to heal off minions while doing damage to the enemy champion, also with her Hiten Style to give her a little lifesteal I guess you can say.

I would normally take+ , but if countered I may sometimes take Barrier for a nice shield.

Pros :

Great at juking with Bladesurge
Good Lane sustain
Great Duelist
Easy to farm
Can counter a gank



Cons :

Can use up way too much mana
Must autoattack to keep sustain
Early game isn't the best against certain champions.

When jungling Irelia, you should still max in the same order, W, E, R, Q.

When jungling Irelia, usually start off at blue, move on the same way most junglers would. Once cleared red, and have Q W E try to gank either top or mid which ever one is more pushed out, if neither are pushed out, continue jungling and make your way too top. Late game you'll probably end up with the same build as top except maybe with a wriggles lantern.

In team fights, Irelia can jump on almost ANYONE. Irelia can iniate fights, or kill the most fed person on the other team at the back. When about to start a team fight try to go around another way to sneak to the back if the carry is behind their entire team, or pass everyone and kill the carry. now this might sound ok to kill the carry but you should only do this if your certain you can kill them fast enough to re-engage on the team fight, because if that carry has a GA or you take too log getting around to kill the carry, your team MAY end up losing the fight. Even with the carry down you can lose the fight. But if your team succeeds in catching out anyone hop on to that person and kill them.
