Intro

Thresh is a great support, but in my opinion is an amazing AD Carry. After trying him out as an ADC as a troll build I found him incredibly fun and very satisfying to watch runaan's and statik shiv go to work on creep waves.

Your roll and where to be.

Your roll as thresh ADC is to, at the start farm. Just farm like a mofo until you have 2 of your Core items built. Once you have berserker's and Statikk Shiv built you're gonna start to get scary. Your job during the laning phase is to try and not start to push their tower while you don't have to. Just stay under yours and you will be able to rake in the free kills. If someone starts hitting your tower, Hook them, full them to you, then after the second pull press Q again and pull yourself to them. Once you have done this either Pop your R and E them into the wall closest to your tower, or just E them if your R is on cooldown. If your support isn't a complete derp, he will be able to do some damage and stun/grab/slow them long enough for you and the turret to be able to take him down. Also NEVER EVER fight in lane without your support. You will be insta-focused as soon as they realize you're open and have no way to get them off you, you are squishy and you are not able to fight solo due to your support-like abilities. During team fights don't use your Q, this will force the enemy team to horseshoe around you and try to save their team mate. If you're dead so is your entire team. Stay behind the tank and make sure you focus their ADC or AP Mid first. You should be able to burst them down with 3-7 hits depending on how fed and how well farmed you are. If a tank tries to 1v1 you just leave. They have more damage spells and will be able to make sure you can't get away.

Tips

-If you start getting low in a team fight, Q through the wall to wraiths and press Q again. This will pull you to the wraiths, and you should be able to escape without taking much more damage.

-Grab the ADC to initiate. This is the only time you can use your Q in a team fight, If you know you can get the ADC then do it, and start running backwards away from the enemy team as soon as you hook him. You team should be able to mop him up and now you can go back in and enjoy that insane damage of yours.

-Make sure you use your ulti a lot, it has a fairly short cooldown and is a very powerful tool for killing 1 or 2 people.

-Use your W to play a support roll. Just because you're built like an ADC doesn't mean it's not your job to help team mates survive. Toss that W over a wall or deep into a team fight so anyone who is low can click on it and get outta there.

-If you're less than half-health and don't have life steal yet, leave. Thresh has no escape except his Q so if you're low get the hell out.

-Leave your team and farm a lane if one is down. It's OK to leave sometimes and get some extra gold from lane or from wraiths/wolves. Also ask your jungler if you can have red (Mid/late game), don't be a jerk and just take it, you don't need it that badly.
