Also a noob here. I realized that ignite/flash/exhaust were far better spells then frenzy because before ignite I kept wondering how my frenzy was not helping me get kills yet, I'd always die from the little swords over my head. As a player who cant even do ranked, it seems like a pointless waste of gold to get the doran's items. They don't build into anything and the stats can be obtained from other items that DO build into the items you want anyway. why not just farm up gold and go straight for the good stuff? Another question/comment is have you considered writing a guide on how to play? IE when to B, when to buy gp10 items/not to, how do I counter the ADC/oh great its kat/akalai mid and they are pounding my cookie dough in/TEEEEMOOOOOOO!!!. Why you dont always buy the same kind of boots. generally how to get to platnium ELO :P.

Any plans on updating since Tiamat now builds into the ridiculous Hydra now?
Going to be adding Ohmwrecker?

Why do people **** on Youmuu's? it builds out of an crit gp10 item and I end up filling the last slot with it after the avarice has given me gold the whole game. Sure its not great on its own, but it complements everything else and AD wants and the active isn't too shabby.

As a noob on the rise, I found this guide quite useful. My only complaints are with the item section.

1) I wish some of the items had a little more detail about why they are good/bad choices.
2) I've actually had quite a bit of success with Tiamat in my games, especially on Shyvana. I dunno if it just doesn't work in higher skill level games, but methinks you need to explain that a little better. See point 1), but it deserved specially notice.
3) The item section should come before the conclusion. :P

Otherwise, you got my vote :)

Tiamat isnt bad.. Building a single one only and on something like GP is bad.. But Ez for example...its best stacking tiamat.. same with shaco, and such.

Some of the items listed work very well with a certain few champions. Tiamat is great on melee carries (Fiora, Yi, Tryndamere) in jungle fights. Nashor Tooth is pretty much Teemo only item. Yommu's just sucks.

Throat, I've never built Lich on Cho, and never will, was just saying, it's one of the only AP items that doesn't throw away stats. :P
I guess Zhonya could be ok, but the active seems like a huge waste o:
If you're willing to waste that much, may as well get Abysaal :P

Also, actually, if you wanna, you can stack Tiamat on Shyvana, and 1 shot anything grouped up with your dragon form Q, but that's even cheesier than Fiora. I have seen it work effectively once though, and it's actually REALLY strong at baron fights o:

I didn't know about this for a while, but yeah, since her Q is technically an auto attack against multiple targets, everyone hit by it gets a separate Tiamat splash around them. I saw her do 4000+ damage with one Q on a Darius who was in the middle of a bunch of minions :P

Another (late game) situation is when multiple lanes are beating on your nexus, and you've aced the enemy team. While I don't recommend keeping it, having this item WILL allow you to effectively clean up the minions at your nexus while the other (remaining number here) teammates push for an enemy inhibitor/nexus.

Tiamat also works well for champions that have no aoe damage, but want to grab a lot of cs in a short amount of time. In a normal wave on SR, the melee minions tend to stick together, as do the caster minions. hitting the center of the three in their respective groups effectively wipes them out (usually netting you the gold off of last hitting).

BC > nashor's on kayle. Kayle benefits much harder from AD than AP. I also don't think kayle has that much use for all the cdr. Long story short, Nashor's only gives kayle a big chunk of attack speed. The other stats are kind of a throw-away. Give me BC anyday.

If you want to push harder on a champ that can't push very well (operate as the splitpusher) on champs like fiora or shen, consider ionic spark. It does way more for you than tiamat. It's extremely rare to get your opponents to not only group up and stay grouped up while they let you bang several auto attacks on them. Tiamat's splash is reduced heavily for ranged.

In my opinion, the only champ that can get tiamat is fiora, and even then, it's kind of cheezy. It does give her some decent regen and AD, and she's about the only melee champ in the game guaranteed to get a bunch of AA's off in a teamfight (due to her ultimate).

More often than not, when I'm playing Kayle there's always a bunched up enemy team of 4 blobbing around in front of an AD carry. Tiamat solves this confrontation because the splash damage on her attacks is 50%. combine that with her passive resistance shred and additional AP slpash damage, and she brings a ton of AP to the fight.

Another (late game) situation is when multiple lanes are beating on your nexus, and you've aced the enemy team. While taking Tiamat because EHRMAGEHRD UHBUHR DAHMAHGES is indeed noob.

TL:DR:
Effectively using the item to it's fullest extent, it what separates the item from being a "noobtrap" and being an "OMG OP" item. Just some items ( Infinity Edge) are easier to utilize than others ( Tiamat).

You really don't even need to do math, you can just think about it for 5 seconds or so..

'Ooh but Cho likes to be tanky, and scales well with AP, so RoA must be good on him'

Sure, but he already gets free health, so he scales with resistance not more health, he has no mana problems whatsoever so that portion of the item is completely wasted, and the AP isn't really great, only 80 other items are better.

The only tanky AP item that I'd actually consider on him would be Abyssal, and even then I don't really like to, because his ult is true damage, and the pen is wasted. If people want AP on cho, they should get a hat, and MAYBE lich bane >.<

I don't want to write a cho guide, because no one will look at it. It won't have RoA in it, and I'll get called a noob, and downvoted. ._.

Well, even the best guides on this site just get downrated because it doesn't fit the top guide, seriously...

BTW: Zhonya's? Armor and AP are both great, active for critical situations.
