All this guide needs is picks. For example, in mid Jayce is generally good against Xerath and Veigar, and bad against Zed and Nidalee.

Otherwise, great guide.

Well im new to league, not even level 30 yet so no ranked for me yet, but i recently purchased jayce and came across your guide and wanted to tell you something. This is by far one of the better guides i have used since i started using Mobafire, i love how you even put in the purchasing sequence and what to finish first. Not many guides have that and they also dont explain for every item why you buy it. This guide has made the few matches i have played on jayce so far a complete pleasure to be in. Your guide is Amazing and im also new to MOBAFIRE so i dont know if i can follow you for diffrent champ guides but keep up the amazing work. You have got a fan here, take it easy

This is the build thaat made me want to buy Jayce way back at level 11, and has made me keep on coming back to him in ranked and normals alike. Thank you. <3 P.S. Please don't give up on this guide! I really want to continue with Jayce in S5 and this guide has always been my basis for my build. <3

Ok so there's one thing that disturbs me. Even though it is a pretty good build you miss one thing that is i think pretty important.
The enemy MUST NOT know what you're doing next. And by setting your gate before your q the enemy WILL know that you're going to poke him.
One simple thing that will surprise them is to fire your q and only THEN set your gate. That way you'll surprise them and they won't have the time to split up in order to avoid your shot. And this move is really not hard to master i guarantee this to you.

Yeah, I wrote this guide a long time ago - pretty much the first week after Jayce was released - and I didn't know about that trick then. I found out pretty soon after, and just haven't updated the guide for that :p It's not an essential move to know but it does help - however by playing Jayce and watching people on streams/videos, people will probably figure it out anyway. Thanks for the feedback!

Also you miss Butcher and Feast in the masteries. These are pretty mandatory masteries for ANY champs who has no sustain. It's a great help in holding your lane against more aggressive players.
This is my point of view. Idon't force you to change yours but maybe mentionning it would be better for people having hard time sustaining their lane.

Hey, nice guide. I also wanted to know if its okay to build Last whisper before IE or Ghost blade?

Thanks man! As for building LW before IE/Ghostblade... that would be situational. If you were to have a very rough laning phase and are behind so much that the enemy has more armor than you have damage (you don't deal enough damage), then getting LW before either item would be perfect. However, you should only consider a purchase like that if at least two of the enemy have 200+ armor. Hope that helps!
