I'm a khazix main and I have a different 1st jungle path that usually works our pretty well. I go Blue=>Gromp=>Wolves=> whichever side scuttlecrab I think the jungler will be at (if I think he started blue, I will take the scuttle on his red/my blue side) ==> invade his jungle and either look for 1st blood or steal his camps if he's elsewhere on the map. This has been very successful for me bc I end up invading with full hp and I still have smite to take his buff and stay healthy [if i get a leash] if he's not there yet. Khazix is such a strong duelist, especially early game, and it doesn't make sense to me to waste this advantage. Even if i'm wrong and his camps are cleared, this path puts you in a very good position to get vision on the enemy jungle and then gank an unsuspecting lane. If you do this it's very important to get vision on where the enemy jungler will enter his side of the jungle [usually the bush next to raptors] and pay attention to the map so you don't get collapsed on.
Just an idea on something I do differently that I've had a lot of success with, thanks for the guide!
**** I'm matched with mostly bronze and silver players so this aggressive strategy might not work in higher ELOs

Yeah its quite a good idea, but as with all invades it has the potential to go wrong, with the enemy laners potentially coming to help their jungler, or you just not being strong enough to 1v1, which is unlikely. So long as you know this its a perfectly viable path.

I have one question as to playing kha vs xin i couldnt find it in the guide so im asking here :p I can play descent against other junglers but when i see xin i always end up not being able to keep up with him or duel him even when fed until far later in the game but by that point we are most likely loosing or team has given up. Any tips?

Right, Xin is a troublesome jungler to go against. The only way to beat him in a fight is to avoid his auto attacks with void assault and get your combo down as fast as possible. Even with that, if he has red smite he can deal a lot of damage to you while taking little damage, so it mainly depends on how fed you are compared to him. If you're ahead, you'll win, if hes ahead, he'll win.

Hey. My friends all ways get mad at me for following your guide. They think that I should ALWAYS build assassin items(never bruiser), ALWAYS go with yomuus first, ALWAYS evolve Q first, and ALWAYS to gank a lane at lvl 3. They always complain that your builds and play styles are for high elos and are too high skill cap for me. They say it every time I try out a new build or style(because their play styles and builds are always the best :/ apparently). Is this really a high skill cap guide or should I just ignore them and follow your guide. If so, what should I say to them?

This guide is for beginners and those just starting out on Kha'Zix. It is by no means a high skill cap guide, or high elo guide. Ignore your friends and play Kha'Zix the way you want to.

I'd like to mention one more thing that I did not see in the guide, and I'm not sure if it's self-evident to junglers, or not. So, Tinjus described pretty damn well how to set up ganks, what to do, and how to be successful. Every jungler knows the risk of tower diving early, the turret aggro gets super strong in no time which means 3 people can die to a low hp adc. No problem, pushed lanes can be ganked from lane brushes (raptor/wolf camp on mid), but that can be avoided by warding lane brushes before letting the enemy push. Understanding the mechanics of lane dominance is important, and it makes us realize that bot lane is more than important. Early and mid game's main objective, the drake pit is located at bot lane side. Not many can see how to force a 3v2 fight with the opposing bot lane correctly. Actually, taking drake is a good idea. Of course the enemy jungler's absence can mean that there would be a 3v3 and that's a kind of even fight, so risks are higher again. Anyway, in most cases calling your bot lane to help taking the objective makes the enemy bot lane follow. You could log in to your account, so you can't be brain-dead, which means you can look for a fight with the arriving enemy bot lane. Succeeding means two kills and four assists on your team, a drake, and there should be a turret destroyed soon. I'm not sure if this makes sense, I just wanted to share my newly gained idea on controlling the game.
The question coming from here is simple. What about top side? There is a buff only in the early game (the coolest objective ever, to be honest: collectible buff? WOW), so keeping an eye out on top lane is more important than before. I'm sure that the same stuff can't be played around Herald, as the enemy jungler and top laner will show up if you attempt to take Herald down. Mid lane joins, the other sleeps, eww...That's something happens usually in my games if Herald has a role in the match, so that's not the right way. I wonder, how should this be done?
Finally, about first clear. My preferred play style is to start at bot side no matter what. So when I'm on the blue team, I start with red. It took a few ranked games to realize that talisman was better than machete when I started with red. Try it if any of you guys want to, I think it's safe (after red I go for wolves and blue, and with blue start, I just go like an ordinary guy would). Go&carry your teams to victory, guys^^

It doesn't matter what champions you ban or when you pick Kha'Zix. What matters is how you play around specific team comps and build according to them.

Hello Tinjus,

First of all, I gained so much knowledge from your guide! Thanks for the great work! Kha'Zix was OP in my eyes before I read this guide, and I was quite good with him, but I was far from the jungler with high carry potential because I did not know stuff like resetting my passive... I really was so stupid before, and the potential unlocked by knowing Kha's abilities shocked me. I wondered, why do I meet only a few people who pick him in ranked (I'm in silver 4)?
I just want to share my experience on evolution. It's obvious (for me) what does Kha'Zix gain from each ability's evolution. I have to say, each ult rank-up is a friggin' high power spike for Kha', as you gain access to dueling, bruiser role, get the fk off, backline, or tadadaa runnin' round like a crazy train. As you mentioned, Kha'Zix has a strong impact on early game (around level 4), so let's use that! Once we got the machine runnin' smoothly, keeping them behind can be victorious mentally, and finally in-game. That's why evolving q makes so much sense once ahead. I started to realize that at this point being able to be everywhere can be achieved by building a ghostblade+mobility boots assassin build, so evolving r instead of e is better now, than as a final evolution choice because evolved wings will give kind of the biggest power spike of Kha's evolution, as it will reset, and you can cover incredible distances. I just imagined a Kha'Zix zooming around the map, jumping only when the enemy has no escapes left, and he still kills them so hard. With those wings...it's just...wow.

I think this is written in your guide already, I just wrote so you can see a playstyle developing in my head, you may learn something from it.
Keep up the great work, man!
