Summoner Spells


Flash is nearly a must-have on every champion, Zed including. Whether it is to flash into the enemy team to do a 5-man stun as Annie, to escape over a wall, or just any other situation.



Teleport is a new, popular, Summoner Spell for top-laners. Useful for some extra map-pressure, and if you are getting completely destroyed in your lane, you can use it to make a difference other places on the map.
100% worth it if you ask me, which you are :)


Other viable Summoners:



Ignite is a Summoner Spell that can replace either Teleport, or Flash depending on the matchup, and your opinion on the Summoners.


Not recommended. But if you aren't high enough level to unlock Flash/ Teleport/ Ignite, or if you are just silly/trolling, i would say this is better than any of the defensive Summoners: Barrier, Heal or Exhaust

Runes

Generally i would say to just use whatever you use on AD champions, but if i had to pinpoint runes these are the ones i would pick.


Greater Mark of Armor Penetration: Useful for killing tanks that have a lot of armor. Recommended.

Greater Seal of Attack Damage: Flat AD is good on any AD champions.

Greater Glyph of Magic Resist: Flat MR useful for everybody, it became popular on midlaners because of the Mage -dominance in the mid-lane where Zed originated. I would replace it with Greater Glyph of Armor if you are against a heavy AD team.

Greater Quint of Armor Penetration: Like the marks, it is useful for armor shredding on tanks, and just to more easily CS and poke the opponent
