Intro
Regarding my seals, I use energy regen per level instead of mana regen. I put the mana regen in there because i couldn't find the energy. Magic pen is for hitting harder(makes Akali more nuke), Energy regen allows you to harass more with q, cooldowns do the same thing, and the health quints help with survivability in the beginning of the game.
Most of Akali's damage is in her skills, not her auto-attacks. This is a common misconception that I see often. Most people spam the Bloodthirsters on her like there's not tomarrow for her damage. So switch out those Bloodthirsters for some shiny new Hextech Gunblades! Not only do they give the attack damage and life steal of a Bloodthirster with no stacks, but they also give you some amazing spell vamp! This item also extremely increases her passive, Twin Disciplines. Because the more attack power she has, the more spell vamp she has, and the more magic damage she has, the higher percent of that magic damage is added to her auto attacks. This makes her stronger all around, not to mention impossible to kill and deadly. When you finish this build, you'll have a whomping 60% life steal, and if that wasn't enough you ALSO have an AMAZING 104% spell vamp. So every time you're hitting with ANYTHING you pretty much get full health. So much fun to watch enemy teams run in terror at the awesomeness known as Akali. There is a downside to this build. You are like a juggernaut, the more momentum you have, the better off you are. If you get stopped by a stun or a snare you pretty much pitch in the towel because your enemies are going to focus you.
When you see the opportunity to get some mega damage off, this is what you want to do:
Throw smoke bomb behind your enemy so they have a hard time running away, throw q,ult, slash them, e, repeat. Easy yah? I promise you the first time you combo, their hp will be below half. Even a tank Nasus lost half his health to this combo. It works.

You do basically the same thing in both instances of the lane phase. Spam you q on your enemies(if you are top or bot, make sure to hit their squishies). When moving into a bush always use you w skill to enter. This prevents those nasty bush surprises. When your not making you enemies' life miserable, use your q to farm minions. Not only do you kill the minions quickly this way, but you also regen energy from it. So spam away my friends.
This is the part that surprises people. If you have your hextech gunblade built, and are heading to the next one, you can jump into enemies of 3 or less and come out with half health easy. Why? Lifesteal+Spell vamp on Akali= serious survivability. It's really hard to kill her at that stage because she heals so fast. So when you at your last bar of health and the last enemy rushes you for the kill, just laugh spam q/ult on their face. They'll die and you'll be half health running away.
