My name is Florian and I really like to introduce yourself into the best champion in League of Legends: Katarina

I personally play Katarina for more than two years. All in all it takes a lot of skill and fast reactions to play an assassin the right way. Sometimes I wonder how some guys are building Kata, it's horrible. Hextech Gunblade may be one of the most popular items for Kata and Co., but it isn't that effective! You should use more damage containing stuff. Really, just get 10 minutes?
Well, take your time and read this guide :)

Fast & Furios

Kata has got the fastest play-style in League. It's just about seconds to get your Pentakill. Basicly, there are about 3 steps to notice:

[*] Every skill has to be ready with your first initiate.

[*] Make sure you got more than 1800HP

[*] Wait! Stay out of the fight and throw some Q's till a minimum of 60% CC is out!

New ideas are the best ones!

When I got better with her as my main champion, I started to play more aggressive. I often died bc of staying to long under the tower, so I looked for something can stop this. Then I found Ohmwrecker. Everyone is thinking this item is totally outplayed and nobody will use it ever again, but I do.

If you have got the option to get your enemy down with a Q-E-W-combo, just try it and use Ohmwrecker immediatly after doing the combo.

Later in tf you can also towerdive if your team is too sqishy -> Ohmwrecker allowds you to do this with fun!

There's another option to built Kata called Full AP. When you go for it, you have to be 100% sure not to die before u can take 2 kills, bc mostly you have less than 2000HP and not enough resists.
Just wait again till all the CC is casted and jump in the right moment with your E. Basicly u can cast W after this and go straight for the next kill by using your Ultimate. Try not to cast all the 7 seconds of your ult. Jump around to confuse your enemiese and don't get into their focus.
In some varieties you can buy Hextech Gunblade to have some Spell Vamp -> Sustaine

Do not pick Katarina, if there's too much CC!

In ranks it is really important that you don't pick Katarina in the first, second or third pick. I always pick her in 4. or 5. to be sure not to countered in Midlane. It's hard to play Kata in ranks, bc of tons of CC coming up with junglers like Vi, Rammus, Alistar, Fiddle or Udir.
If the enemies have got Annie support, don't pick Katarina tho. That would be quite dumb ;)

Jungle is overrated!

I wouldn't recommend to jungle with Katarina, even if there's a pushed midlane. The only camp you can clear easily is the wraith-camp. Well, just cast your Q, after that jump at the big wraith and do some more W's to finish it.
Otherwise you don't need any buff strongly. A bluebuff would make you more flexible and a redbuff just give you the slow also given by Rylai's Crystal Cepter.

Last-Q-ing

As Katarina, it is important to get the right timing. Don't spam your abilities like nothing. Use them clever and in the right moment.
To get many cs in early game -> Don't push!
Just lasthit creeps with your Q and do some W's if you can't Q atm. It's just too difficult to lasthit with autoattacks, trust me.
Later you can cast Q, jump in with E and clear a wave with your W. Everytime the same ;)

There are such too many unique thing you cna do and have to notice with Katarina.
