It actually takes a lot to make Last Whisper better, when you factor both attack speed and a potential of 45 armor reduction (Which is different than armor pen) that will also benefit your team mates...

Just a thought. I think you'd be surprised at how effective BC is on Tristana. It's a far superior mid game item to LW, and I'd say late game it still has a good effect.

Looks legit

Perfect build to have a good early and late game, oppositely to regular builds where your early game is difficult.

The build is good because,

You got enough health to survive,
And enough damage/critical damage to kill.

I don't use last whisper, my opponents rarely get armor.

As far as the number crunch goes, no not since the changes to last whisper so its been a while but I just did them.

Assuming you have just have IE and picking up TBC or LW (along with armor pen marks and mastery) they would need over 180 armor (i stopped going up after this, cant imagine it would be much higher, maybe 195 tops?) to match the dps per gold cost.

Thats assuming the person has 3 stacks of TBC on them already. If you try to calculate it from 0 growing per hit per stack its between 130-140 armor when dishing dishing out damage on a target for 3 seconds (which is a typical damage window right?). The average champ has like 75 armor at lvl18 without items.

I'm far from a math expert though and I didnt take into account rapid fire...thinking about that just made my brain hurt.

I just assumed locodoco's statement in his build with the number of 120 armor took into account the time it took to stack the procs but his number seems a little low but could be explained by not taking marks and masteries into account?

Who knows, someone thats better at math and still plays this game can follow up =P

not sure what noobs you play against, but this build fails hardcore.

excellent guide. helped me to understand tristana so much better. i lvl up my spells the same way u do too and it works great. i dont take any of the dorians though i go straight for the berzerkers and infinity edge and still get a 22/6/14 game easily. i also get the phantom dancer in place of black cleaver casuse no dps in normal games build armor ever. and i rather kite with long range anyway. def +1
