This now ponts Tristana player in the right direction. Might want to alter the build though :P

I'm not a fan of it. Yes, it definately helps your early game damage, but it has drawbacks in becoming 100% useless once the game progresses. AD and armor pen quints start off a bit lackluster, but become worth it in the late early game, where AA harass is very valuable. Not to mention they help with lasthitting, which works out great if you start off with boots + pots. The health quints, which are my recommended ones, help your early game too (they disencourage counterinitiation by the combination of having more HP than your opponents AND better resistances), but stay useful.

Basically the difference between AP quints and HP quints is:
With HP quints, you'll wheep if they get away with 5HP in the laning phase; but you'll cheer whenever you get away with less than 80HP throughout the game.

I'm curious about something before I vote up, What about using Glyphs of Potency to help out with early game damage with Rocket Jump?

Thank you for the detailed response.

About the visually appealing sections: kinda new to mobafire layout, so I'll work on that if I get some spare time :)

Doran's Shield indeed deserves a mention, and I'll put it up.

The point in explosive shot was a mistake. Will correct that. Thanks for pointing it out!

The AP mastery was indeed a pretty dumb click. Should have been in ignite or in that mastery that deals bonus damage to minions. However, I do personally prefer the 24/6/0 buildup over the 21/0/9, as I think that levels don't contribute much for a ranged AD carry, and don't way up against the extra crit strike damage or armor pen you get from it. Not to mention the armor and magic resistance in the defensive tree, which I consider important on Tristana specifically, as she's a squishy who gets her main early game damage out of jumping right on top of her ennemies.

Armor Penetration should indeed be mentioned in this build. I don't get it THAT much, because not that many ennemy teams build tanky enough. I kinda took building LW as a counter to armor for granted. I'm not that big a fan of Black Cleaver atm though. Except on Vayne maybe. I do like to build the double PD when I can, as it helps with positioning (which is in my mind the most important aspect of playing ranged AD.)

Interesting guide... At least for ONCE someone mentions Tristana's bursting capability ^_^

Are you planning to get this guide into the top 10? If you are, then you might want to consider bringing up some more visually appealing sections to your guide.

Consider Doran's Shield as an alternative starting item. Starting with Boots and 3 Health Potion is an okay start, but once you run out of potions, you're pretty much screwed... I've found that when I lane against a Tristana with boots and 3 pots as Tristana in either bot or mid lane, that when they run out of potions, they seem to back down a bit and start to play more defensively, allowing me to zone them out and deprive them of farm. I'm not sure about this, but it seems like the typical behavior of Tristanas starting with boots.

I'm wondering about that point in Explosive Shot at level 14 because what use is that going to be for you? I mean, the extra splash damage on the passive for farming is nice, but I think that a point in Rapid Fire would be much better spent on.

Now masteries... I think that a standard 21/0/9 would do you better good throughout the course of the game, especially when you have that 10% death timer reduction with Good Hands and the extra experience you get with Awareness . Those are two good masteries that are almost necessary to have as a ranged AD carry. I'm not exactly sure why that extra point in Archmage's Savvy is there so I think you could have traded it in for something better. But as you said, it's a matter of personal preference :)

On to the items. Now in my opinion, two phantom dancers are more situational than core. Also, your build lacks armor penetration, so it would be a wiser choice to swap out that 2nd Phantom Dancer with either a Last Whisper or Black Cleaver. Guardian Angel is one of the best all-round defense items, especially for a ranged AD carry. It's just that I can't be bothered buying it unless I absolutely want to because of that long 5-minute wait after you've busted the passive :P

I think that this guide could do with some more work, but as it is, a start is a start. I won't be upvoting yet, just want to see if you're going to make improvements :D

Nice work at the moment and I'll come back to check on the progress...
...if you're planning on doing so :P

If you have any queries, add me. IGN is NoobyPower like my profile says ;D

I would go another BT instead of 2nd PD, cuz of the Q skill. But it's still useful. Nice guide, detailed and well explained. Keep up the good work ! +1 from me ^^
