I've been playing Trundle for a long time, and this is by far the best guide on him I've seen. Nice job!

As a friend who plays with him regularly, he carries me with trundle all the time.

+1 of course.

I think it's an interesting read, the jungle routes are solid although I do my jungle more free form.

However, I do think the end result is not quite tanky enough, and perhaps the bit about BV > FoN is misinformative.

I would certainly not say BV is a better item. They are both situational and both great items for Trundle.

Fantastic Guide. Information is invaluable. I've been playing Trundle for awhile now and the item build in this guide is far superior to any I've tried or read about on Mobafire.

The masteries and runes I can't say the same for, however, everyone has their own play style. My favorite for jungle is as follows:
1/14/15
Quin: 3 AD
Red: 3 AD + 6 ArP
Yel: 9 Armor
Blu: 9 MR

Almost full hp the entire time jungling, using the same build order as the guide (starting with Vampiric Scepter). Strong early ganks with the extra AD and can clear your jungle and reach L4 within 4:40. With Red buff and Pillar almost guaranteed First Blood on bottom lane. Hope this helps someone!

Cause we be troll-in. Your Nexus. I know they're think-in. I hate jungle Trundle.

First off, I love this guide. It's the same build I essentially stumbled onto myself, and you're the only one that seems to have come to the same conclusions in terms of items, runes, and masteries. I have been trying something a bit different lately though, and was interested in your thoughts:

I would like to suggest an alternate mastery/quint setup.
1/14/15 - Mastery Build
With 2x Quintessence of Fortitude, and 1x Quintessence of Swiftness.

The net difference:
-4MR
-0.5 Block
-2.66% AS
-50hp
+1g/10s
+1mp5
-4dmg from Minions
+4.5% Movement Speed

The real thing I want to emphasize here is the movement speed. I’ve been in favor of 3x swiftness quintessence for a long time now, using Veteran’s Scars to offset my lack of fortitude quintessence. I noticed earlier today, however, that you can achieve an equivalent to 3xFortitude AND 3xSwiftness Quintessence with this setup (-2hp).

The 50hp loss seems like a lot, but it’s essentially…unnecessary early game, and negligible in the later game. Early on it’s even offset a bit from the -4 minion damage, though this could safely be converted into +4MR. That 4.5%, using the same item build, is 20 Movement as soon as the Trinity Force is finished. The 1mp5 and 1gp10 are really just to get you to the movement speed, but it’s nice icing on the cake.

Thoughts anyone?

Edit: I should also mention I have 3 AD marks and 6 ArP marks. I've found that it makes the difference with those "It's almost dead" creeps. Saves a solid 5 attacks on the first pass through, which I have found worth it.

I also think the difference between CDR/MR and Armor/Dodge for glyphs and seals is pretty much a preference thing, though I find Dodge/MR is more on the tanky side and helps a lot with my most common teammates.

I haven't necessarily tried this build, but I've tried variants. Of course Wriggles and TriForce are a must, but now I'll try out Black Cleaver. I find that the majority of the time Trundle doesn't need a Banshee to get out of a situation. With proper map awareness and proper use of W and E, he should be in the clear--it's subjective though. I'll probably try Banshee soon. I still prefer 10/10/10 masteries due to the buff extension, armpen, and dodge boost.

Aside from building, I have yet to try this mastery, runeset, and vamp scepter first. But what really made me love this guide was your explanation of Contaminate! It truly is an incredible skill, and that plus pillar makes Trundle my absolute favorite champ. Well written, props!
