On the upper slopes of Mount Targon, the warriors of Rakkor live and breathe only for war. However, Targon's peak is reserved for a special group of Rakkoran who answer to a ''higher'' calling. Members of this group, called the Solari, retire their mantles of war, choosing instead to devote their lives to reverence of the sun. According to legend, the Solari were formed by a warrior who could call the raw might of the sun down upon his enemies in combat. He claimed Mount Targon's summit, the point on Valoran closest to the sun, for his solar devotion, a tradition which generations of Solari have preserved to this day. Though they maintain their reverence, no other warrior possessed the gifts of the founder -- until Leona.
Leona's parents were traditional Rakkorans, both bred for the heat of battle. To them, Leona was a problem child. She was capable of fighting as fiercely as any other -- including her childhood friend, Pantheon -- but she did not share their zeal for killing. She believed that the true worth of a soldier lay in her ability to defend and protect. When it came time for her Rite of Kor, a ceremony in which two Rakkoran teens battle to the death for the right to bear a relic-weapon, Leona refused to fight. For this, the Rakkoran leaders ordered her execution, but when they tried to strike the fatal blow, sunlight burst forth, bathing Mount Targon in light. As it faded, Leona stood unharmed and her executioners lay unconscious around her. The Solari immediately claimed Leona, demanding that her sentence be repealed. She donned the golden armor of the Solari and they bestowed upon her the sword and shield passed down from the ancient sun-warrior of legend. The Solari helped Leona focus her abilities, and when she was ready she left to join the League of Legends.

First and foremost this is my first mobafire build so be gentle hahaha. Alright first you have to understand that Leona is a tank and that people will primarily will play her as so. Even if you see a hybrid or pure dps build she excels as a tank with what i think is pretty good damage output mid to late game. This guide will try to prove this theory.
Now for rune choice you will notice its not your normal flat armor, magic resist or dodge. This is because I found out that at early game maxing out your damage(as much as you could) with ap runes will help your lane partner get kills faster, if not that you can get the kills for yourself.
Health Quints (Flat 26 Hp)
Vitality Seal (1.08 Health per lvl, 19.44 at lvl 18)
Magic pen Marks (.95 magic pen) all of Leona's spells are plus magic dmg.
Potency Blues (.99 ap)
Blues could be swapped for cdr its your choice. Ive tried them both but is not to big of a difference.
This is simply up to you and your team comp.
I decided to uses ignite simply because nowadays every game Ive encountered the is some type of healer and/or to get that guy getting away with a 100 something hp.
Now for flash; well Flash its just awesome and a well place one can get you a kill for your team in a gank or just a kill for yourself...Of course keeping in mind that you have 3 spells that either stun, disable or slow.
But then again the choice is up to you try different combinations to your advantage.
Pretty standard tank build.
The only thing that you might find weird would be the 1 point in Greed. That is just my preference if you like you could put that pint in Exhaust if you use it or Haste if you like. Like I said before its up to you.
OK start with a dorans shield(this with the runes i recommended will put you at 773 hp at lvl 1 alone). This allowing for you to be more aggressive very early game and stay in lane longer for the regen. Your first "b" to base should be when you have enough for boots.
Now Sunfire Cape and Force of Nature are a must these 2 items at early-mid game should make u almost unstoppable (provided you do not play stupid and your team is not ******ed as well). Also helps you with extra damage and movement speed.
Now late game mid-late game you start building your Trinity Force and Rylai's. Now ladys and gents let me make clear now that these are the items that make Leona a force to be reckoned and Feared as well. Just with that alone you could 1v3, kill them and make it out or just hold with no problem until backup arrives. (Ive done it).
For last item its just get what you think is necessary, like a Banshee's Veil or Guardian Angel; up to you.
Pretty simple rotation for fighting, Activate Eclipse, Zenith Blade, Shield of Daybreak and Ult...Rinse, Repeat and Win.
Early game farming will be super easy once you get your Sunfire and combine it with eclipse.
And when you get your mid-late items you will be so beefy that you will probably not die in teamfight's (Eclipse, Zenith in Ult, Flash out then single target with team for victory).
Hope you guys give the guide a chance and any opinion is appreciated.
Shout out to my team witch let me experiment with Leona and made this build possible.
