Flash for Tryndamere is a must in my opinion. Flash can be used during all phases of the game. It allows you to escape those sticky situations, or allows you to catch up on a far away opponent.
Teleport allows you to split push very fast. It also allows you to quickly move you to your team if a team fight breaks out. And when your fed, you really want to be at those team fights.
Ignite is a preference. It doesn't really do much during Tryndamere's late game since his AA will already do tons of damage. Ignite is mostly used for early game, when his power isn't very high. When mid an late game hits, you won't be using ignite much. So if you struggle early game, get ignite.
Barrier is a option rather than Teleport or Ignite. Barrier allows you to stay in team fights longer and dish out more damage to the opponent. And since the shield scales, its good throughout the whole game. It could also be used to survive when you're running away.
Ghost is another option to take rather than Teleport, Ignite, or Barrier. Ghost is mostly used early game when you don't have much speed to run away or catch up to someone. However, when you get to mid and late games with all your items, you'll be able to catch up to anyone with ease. Unlike ignite or teleport, you can also use it to escape.
Doran's Blade is a really good starting item, because it has some essential stats. It gives you that slight AD and life steal, and even health. 3% life steal may not sound like much, but it can make the biggest difference overall.
Zeal is a very good item to get, especially since it builds up to your Statikk Shiv. The attack speed and crit chance it gives is pretty decent. It even gives a slight amount of movement speed to help you get to lane faster.
Statikk Shiv is a very essential item for Tryndamere. It allows you to guarantee a critical strike. And the fact that it charges fairly fast, it is a very good early game item.
The Bilgewater Cutlass and Blade of the Ruined King are really good early game items as well. The lifesteal it gives is amazing, and the active effect is really nice when going aggressive since it slows and deals damage.
Berserker's Greaves is a pretty obvious choice since Tryndamere relies on attack speed. The Furor Enchantment allows you to stick to your opponent once you go aggressive. In team fights, it allows you to move from champ to champ.
Phantom Dancer has pretty much a ton of the essentials Tryndamere needs. Movement speed, attack speed, and crit chance. It also gives a good precentage of each which is perfect. When you get Statikk Shiv Phantom Dancer and Infinity Edge, you should have 100% crit chance with a full rage bar.
Infinity Edge provides the raw damage you need, along with the extra critch chance AND crit damage. This item will allow you to deal around 700 damage when you crit, whith the items above.
Bloodthirster also give you the raw damage and a ton of sustain especially with the Blade of the Ruined King. The shield is also a pretty good plus. If you reach full build and level 18, and the average level of your opponents is about 16, you should be able to solo Baron.
At this point, you should have about 2.15 attack speed, 375-400 attack damage, and 100% crit chance with full rage.
Always go to places with a ton of minions that are close by. If not, go to the jungle and kill some creeps. If you get creeps from the enemy jungle, that's even better. If you're top and decide to walk all the way down bot for CS, thats a bad idea. Try to go for the ones that won't consume so much walking time. Every CS counts. I usually have about 150-200 CS at round 25 minutes.
By the time I get my Statikk Shiv and Blade of the Ruined King, I usually start to roam around. This is when I get a lot of CS and kills.
You can tweak the build to your needs as I said in the build notes, and get tenacity if the opponent has hard CC. If the opponent is going tanky, get the second option items.
