The Legend of Twisted Fate

His Lore:

Although birthed to poor gypsy parents, the champion known as Twisted Fate was able to gamble his way to prosperity as a card shark in the seedy underground gambling circuit of Demacia. No matter how close the authorities came to catching Twisted Fate, the rogue always found a way to slip through their fingers. Despite his good fortune, he was never able to win that which he truly desired: the ability to control magic. When Twisted Fate learned of an experiment being conducted in Zaun that might help him with his wish, he did the only thing a gambler of his worth could do: he went all in and volunteered for the experiment. When it seemed to catastrophically fail, however, Twisted Fate flew into a rage. While on the verge of killing the scientists, he suddenly teleported himself miles away. With a sly grin, he realized his luck had won out yet again. He now brings his luck to the Institute of War.

''While the future may be mysterious and unknown to most, Twisted Fate is certain that his future lies within the cards.''

Introduction

Twisted Fate is one of the Best Ranged Dps carries in the game. He doesnt use a ton of mana, he relies mostly on his basic attacks for damage and also on his W: Pick a card to stun slow and get mana back easily. If you are a Twisted Fate person i recommend you try this build. Try this build before you hate on it because this build does wonders for me so i thought id bring it to the mobafire community to help fellow Twisted Fate lovers have fun playing him and get good kills and a better time in the game.

Thanks

Runes

For Marks I take armor Penetration so you can be an anti tank pretty well against rammus and shen and malphite. People that get armor. Also it is good so that you can do tons of damage to enemies plus it helps your damage.
For seals i got evasion so that you have an actual chance in 1 on 1 if they have good attack speed it might give you a couple of lucky dodges so that you can stun and output the damage to kill them
For Glyphs I get Cooldown reduction because then you can spam his W: Pick a card for maximum slow and stun.
Then for Quints i take even more Armor Penetration.

These are the runes that i take. I am open to hear any suggestions for switching of runes or maybe if you go a whole other rune page feel free to comment and explain what you do so that i can try it and make things work out for the best.

Skills and Skill Sequence

His Passive:-Second Sight
Twisted Fate and his allies receive an additional 2 gold per kill.
This is great for farming in mid lane because the more last hits that you have thats 2 more gold per last hit which is a great help up on the enemy team with anyone thats on the team.
His Q:-Wild Cards
Throws three cards which deal 60 / 110 / 160 / 210 / 260 (+65% of ability power) magic damage to each enemy unit they pass through. This Skill is a great skill if you are playing an Ap build but isnt very effective otherwise.
His W:-Pick A Card
Cast once to shuffle the deck and again to choose your card, enhancing your next attack.

Blue Card deals 30 / 45 / 60 / 75 / 90 (+40% of ability power) bonus damage and restores the bonus damage in mana to Twisted Fate.

Red Card deals 30 / 45 / 60 / 75 / 90 (+40% of ability power) bonus damage plus his attack damage to units around the target and slows their movement speed by 30 / 35 / 40 / 45 / 50%.

Gold Card deals half the bonus damage of Red and Blue Cards (+40% of ability power) and stuns for 1 / 1.25 / 1.5 / 1.75 / 2 seconds. This is what does all of his damage. This is his stun his slow and his mana regen. This ability is what you will spam to become victorious in a game with this champion.
His E:-Stacked Deck
Passive: Every 4 attacks, Twisted Fate deals an additional 55 / 80 / 105 / 130 / 155 (+40% of ability power) damage. This passive cooperates great with your attack speed. Every fourth attack does extra damage. Which gives a good balance to your damage.

In addition, his attack speed is increased by 3 / 6 / 9 / 12 / 15% and his cooldowns are decreased by 3 / 6 / 9 / 12 / 15%.
His R:-Destiny
Reveals all enemy champions (including stealthed champions) for 6 / 6 / 6 seconds.

While Destiny is active, Twisted Fate can teleport anywhere on the map. This is what will help you get easy kills and can help your team out very well in all aspects of the game.

For skill sequence I always get Stacked deck and Pick a Card first. I normally max out Stacked Deck first and then Pick a card. I do this because the sword of divine mixes with stacked deck to do even more damage with 4 attacks. Then you max Pick a Card so that you have a good stun and a good slow early on. Also wild card isn't very well when you play a Ad build because its not Attack damage it takes Ap.

Items

I grab these items because sword of divine gets you enough attack speed paired with berserkers greives and the inf edge gets you attack damage and good criting. then the blood thirsters for good attack damage with the passive and the life steal.

Alternative items include:These items can be swapped out for any of the items in the build. These items do incredible work and i have explained why i would use them in battle. So if you like the Original build but would tweak it a little bit for any circumstance. Maybe you have a tank with a lot of health. Maybe a tank with a ton of armor. Or just any other reason here are some suggestive items to use instead.

The reason for alternative items:

For Last Whisperer: Id recommend this if you dont like the original build because it gives good armor pen and great damage.
For Madreds Bloodrazor: Id get this if you are facing a tank that gets a lot of health.... EX: Shen, Rammus, Mordekaiser.
For Sword Of The Occult: Id get this if you are getting a lot of easy kills and think you can keep doing it.
For Youmuu's: I get this if you want some good armor pen and damage. also for the active attack speed.
For Frozen Mallet: You also could get this for survivability and for the slow so that you and your team could catch an enemy easier.
For Trinity Force: You could get this for good survivability attack speed and so that sheen can help your pick a card with its extra % damage.
Lastly a Starks Fervor: You could trade out a Blood Thirster maybe to get a starks for more attack speed and for the incredible health regen and lifesteal to ensure a challenging fight for your enemies.

So these are my ideas for any items you could swap if you have any other ideas on what i could do to change even more items. Please feel free to tell me in the comments below. I love to hear criticism.

Summoner Spells

- I take flash for many reasons. For one you can click pick a card and chase an enemy get a yellow card then flash to catch them stun and start doing tons of damage. Flash can also be used as an escape for when you cant take 2 v 1 or if you are even going to lose a 1 v 1. Flash is one for the best Twisted Fate.- I pick exhaust because this is a team friendly spell. You can exhaust to catch up exhaust in battle to do more damage or exhaust so that you can run away. Its an easy and Helpful spell.

Alternative Spells could be used:-- You could use Ghost for obvious reasons as running from enemys, chasing enemys and just old getting places faster.- Ignite could be used to help get early kills in the game or even in 1 on 1 situations so they can regen health very well if they have a lifesteal item. You should use ignite on Mundo and Warwick to stop there health regen and life steal.- Clairvoyance can also be used to help your team if you're being a support type of build. But not used often because support build isnt seen that often.

Pros / Cons

Pros:
Great Farmer
Good damage output
Great Ganker
Great 1 v 1
Cons:
Squishy
gets focused
No many escape abilities unless you have ultimate.

Every champion has their ups and their downs but if you have a good tank to take the damage and a good teammate to help do damage your team should win everytime. Of course thats not always the case because some people think they know a champion and then cant play them very well. But i promise if you have a good ability to learn Twisted Fate is a fun champion.

Ranked Play and Normal Play

He is an incredible champion to pick for ranked games if your team needs an Ad/Dps Carry. He's does incredible amounts of damage and good team helper and can snag easy kills with his ultimate. So i recommend Twisted Fate to anyone looking for a good Ad/Dps carry.

I would advise you to learn him in normal or practice. One because you don't want to go in a ranked game especially with the difficulty of him and get wrecked and lose your team a ranked game. Also it will make your E.L.O bad and then you will not be able to get it back up as easy as you think. You would have to win a lot of games without any losses to get your E.L.O back up to a respected E.L.O rank.

Farming

This should be easy with him. Hes a great farmer. Just make sure you get all the last hits you can possibly try for. If you are mid lane then out last hit your opponent and make them wish they hadn't gone mid because the more last hits mean you get more gold which is faster items so that you can wreck you mid lane faster. Also if you are laning a solo lane due to a jungle do the same thing. Farm well and watch for ganks so that you do not get behind in the last hit race.

People you need to lane with if you are laning are:
    Rammus
    Shen
    Malphite
    Sona
    Soraka
Try to go with people that can give you health or can health you do a lot of damage or take a lot of it for you.

People you should try not to lane with:
    Ashe
    Annie
    Twitch
    Zilean
    Corki
You don't want to lane with these guys due to the squishyness of the lane and also because two ranged carries shouldn't be in the same lane they should be spread out to do more damage to the enemy team.

Creeping / Jungling

I wouldn't recommend to jungle with twisted fate* but then again i have never tryed it. So if you guys actually try a Jungle build with him message me or comment on here and let me know so i can take a look and try your build out.

*the reason of my recommendation is because he doesn't really have any skills that would help you jungle. Unless you went Ap right off the bat and used Wildcards. Or maybe if you had attack speed runes you could get stacked deck and a vamp scepter so that you could life steal and do more damage each fourth hit. But i highly recommend not to do that.

Tips for Fighting and Versing Twisted Fate

Playing as Twisted Fate
Use Gate to travel to the most profitable areas Twisted Fate needs lots of items.
Coordinate with your allies for the best time to use Gate to ambush enemies.
Stealth characters often escape a battle with very low hit points. Take advantage of Destiny's ability to reveal stealthed units to finish them off.

Playing vs Twisted Fate
Using skills that remove slows, such as Cleanse, can remove Destiny's slow effect instantly.
Focus on dodging Wild Cards early when your champion doesn't have the hit points to afford getting hit.

He is a very good team mate to have for his stun and his slow. But also his passive that gives two more gold per kill. these can also help make a successful team for someone that last hits good. He is a good teammate in a team fight but can also be focused which wont help your team out any.
He is also annoying to play against because if your opponent is good with him and grabs a yellow card every time he uses pick a card thats a stun all the time and would get annoying in team fights. For all the reasons i just told you but now he's against your team. Plus he can find out where you are at whenever his ultimate is up.

Champions To watch out for, easy 1 v 1's and much more.

Champions he needs to watch out for are champions with stuns or snares:

Three examples on Stuns and Snares: Sion for his Q Cryptic Gaze Gives a great stun. Swain's W: Nevermore which snares enemys. Finally Lux's Q Light binding for the Snare once again. For obvious reasons a stun isnt helpful to him. One because he doesn't have a lot of health so that stun can be a major loss in health and also because a stun gives opportunities for the enemy team to do tons of damage without taking any damage or minimal damage.

He also has easy 1 v 1's that he can win.

People that obviously have not a lot of health, that can also be easily stun and have there health chizzled away. These are the people you need to feed of from. Get easy stuns and wreck their health down to nothing for the kill they can't do anything if they are stunned.

Where you should Lane. 5v5's and 3 v 3's

In a 5 v 5 you should lane mid every time unless you have a Karthus or an Ashe Because neither of them are very good laning champions. Especially because Karthus is such a good harasser and can kill from anywhere so if he harasses mid and gets mid down to nothing quick he can get easy kills and help his team with his incredible ult.
In a 3 v 3 he should lane top unless there is a tank bot. He should lane with the tank because he is very squishy and doesnt need to be feeding in a 3 v 3. Because a 3 v 3 is the worst to feed in.

Reason Why I Play Him.

In my opinion he is one of the best champions in the game, He is also my main character that i play. He is a great Dps Carry and damage output. He also can be a support an assassin, an Ability power, or anything but tank. He can do it all to help ensure victory. Also hes cheap so he doesnt cost a lot of IP. This is good because you can get him really early in your career as a summoner and have fun to get more ip and get other champions. He's just an all around good champion to play, buy have on your team or anything pretty much. Just a wonderful idea.

A little about Phever

Hello I just wanted to take a few minutes to talk about me and my career in League of Legends.

I started playing about last year like January so i've been playing for about a year. Used to be really bad and got to a 30 really fast. Now that i've been thirty for at least 7 months i've just been trying different champions and different builds with them and i love this game. My computer is not the fastest so its not the full fun potential it should be but this summer when I graduate Im going to work all summer and get a faster computer to be able to get in to the real experience. But I am not that bad even on my slower computer i do pretty well on anyone really i just have to get a couple games to practice with that champion. So go to my profile and look at my Summoner name and feel free to add me i love play 3 v 3's and the occasional 5v5's so add me and id love to play :)
