Brilliant guide, voted +1.

Somehow, I still got a question. You said Phoenix Stance was better for better for jungling, and Tiger Stance was more for solo top.
But for ganking, or chasing an enemy... which one is better? Because what actually makes clearing camps faster, is that phoenix is an AoE skill. But let's get back to chasing or ganking an enemy, I don't need to do AoE damage, so why not use Tiger stance after the Bear stance instead? Since I'm building attack speed items (such as the Wit's End, Trinity Force, etc...), isn't it better to use Tiger stance for simply chasing and finishing an enemy off?

Thanks for replying.

Yes, it is. Which is why Tiger Stance does more damage than Phoenix Stance late game, even at rank 3. However, clear times and counterjungling is much more important early on than ganking as Udyr can't gank as well as some people like Maokai or Nautilus due to having one stun only. As I stated in my guide, you can choose to jungle with Tiger Stance if you want to gank more often.

Great Guide. I used to play tanky/jungler UDYR then I changed for a more big damage jungler UDYR. Your guide brought me back to tanky Udyr. I'm trying to find a middle ground between your guide and my current Phoenix Jungler Build...
Now I have a couple of questions:
1) I like to buy wriggles lantern (the pasive gives crazy clear speed and the life-steal combined with turtle makes it easy to heal back to 100% hp with a only a couple of creeps/minions. Is there a way to include the lantern in this build? If so... when/where?
2) I suck at using Randuin's active, so wich other item could I replace it with?
I was thinking Locket of The Iron Solari (because it has golden heart in it's recipie) but I'm not sure it's that usefull (and it also has an active I'll suck to use)
So last two options which is better Thornmail or Frozen Heart? (in randuin's place)

Thanks :)

1) Phoenix Udyr scales off AP/AS and you will not need the lifesteal. It's kind of redundant on Udyr since you've got Turtle Stance for all the healing you'll need. Also, getting it for the faster jungle clear would be too repetitive as Phoenix Udyr can clear camps fast already, and Wriggle's Lantern will delay your build as it gives stats that Phoenix Udyr simply does not need (AD/Lifesteal).

2) I suppose Frozen Heart would be the better choice as the aura will make up for forgetting the active. The other items you suggested are either for supports or just simply not as effective as Randuin's Omen. Frozen Heart itself is not as good as Randuin's Omen as the CDR is wasted and it does not provide a slow, which would help Udyr close gaps better. You also need the Heart of Gold early on to help you keep up in gold, and help you become more tanky.

Refer to my "Why do you jungle with Phoenix/Lane with Tiger?" section.

Overall this is a really nice guide man

There is one thing that I feel is a really big mistake.

In you phoenix build you don't put a single point into tiger until everything else is maxed.
The reason why this is such a big mistake is because for just a single point you get the full AD ratio of the on hit and 15 out of 35% of the AS. This makes a huge difference when ganking.

Being able to pre-tiger when coming out of the brush with bear and then using it again when chasing adds a significant amount of damage to your ganks and only costs you 1 skill point.

I probably just missed it but I also didn't see any mention of pre-tiger in the guide which is a huge part of playing Udyr to his fullest potential.

Oh right, I'll add that.
