Introduction
The mystics of Ionia delve into the deepest mysteries of Valoran, pioneering the most inner depths of spirituality. Their adepts are some of the most devout proponents of enlightenment and harmony...but as is always the case, there are those who follow a very different path. Born in a grassy clearing under a red moon, Udyr has always been compelled by the primal drive within him. His will was not untempered, simply undomesticated. As a boy, he toiled on his father's farm, but he felt a much deeper connection with the mustangs that would graze in the distant fields than with the townsfolk who would visit. Oftentimes he was dragged into the house at night with a swat and a scolding when his parents would find him sleeping beneath the stars.
On the day of his sixteenth birthday, Udyr bade his family farewell and struck a path to the east, determined to shed the trappings of ''civilized'' society. Freed of the shackles of cultural expectations, Udyr tapped into a well of inner ferocity he hadn't known before. His feral senses roiled to the surface and he let them overcome him. It was at this point in his life that Udyr truly lost his humanity. Poachers and travelers who entered his territory did so at terrible risk, and rarely managed to leave it.
A monk on a long journey passed through his woods one day, and Udyr decided to scare him, leaping from a nearby brush. The monk casually turned and redirected Udyr to one side. Udyr, enraged, tried time and time again to best him, but the monk was unassailable. When Udyr was exhausted, the monk wordlessly beckoned him to follow, and together they walked in silence to the Hirana Monastery. The monks there took him in, and taught him to harness and control his animalistic fury...most of the time.

I like the ability Udyr can burst out damage, but I found that he dies really quickly in team fights so I decided to make him a bit more tanky and I found out that it works out great.
Doran's Shield -I like Dorians shield for the nice health and armor in the beginning. Feel free to sell it mid-late game if you need room for your items.
Ninja Tabi - Ninja Tabi are great boots because of the dodge and armor. You may find yourself to be a little slow but your Bear Stance will make up for the loss of speed.
Madreds Bloodrazor - This is a amazing item for Udyr making him able to deal out lots of damage to enemy tanks. Plus it gives you armor and attack speed which is for your primary focus.
Warmogs Armor - One of my favorite health armors in the game, gets even better the more kills and assists you stack up. Unlike other items you keep your stacks even if you die, which is great thing if you get focused.
Atmas Impaler - Now that you have plenty of health you can now deal some of it as damage. It also give you more armor to help with tankiness.
Trinity Force - A good all around item which helps beef him up more. The chance to slow is very helpful if you are chasing someone down.
Bloodthirster - Finally for your sixth item is Bloodthirster which is good for the damage and lifesteal.

Monkey's Agility - This passive makes team battles easier with 10% attack speed and 3% dodge per stack. The maximum this it gives you is a bonus of 30% attack speed and 9% dodge, you should be able to tear people down and live to tell the tail.
Bear Stance - I like to start out with this because is it great for chasing down enemy's and stunning them. I usually max this out first.
Tiger Stance - Your main DPS skill, this skills come in very handy when you get into fights. You are able to burst out a lot of damage.
Turtle Stance - The shield you get from this is great if you are trying to escape. This skill is also great for getting your health and mana back, just pop into the jungle kill a few things then take off to the fight again.
Phoenix Stance - Lots of people like this but I never use it when I play except for clearing minions every once in a while.
What I usually do when I get into fights is run to the enemy with Bear Stance on and stun them. Then I switch over to Tiger Stance and then I spam Tiger Stance until they try to run. Once they start running I switch back to Bear Stance and chase them down and repeat the previous cycle.
For my runes I like to go
Greater Mark of Desolation
Greater Mark of Desolation because it helps when you are fighting against most tanks.
I also like
Greater Seal of Evasion so that it adds to your dodge chance.
finally
Greater Glyph of Alacrity
Greater Quintessence of Alacrity for some attack speed to help you DPS.

Exhaust because it helps by slowing them and making them weaker what more could you want.
Ignite because it comes in handy to get that last bit of health off them as they try to run away.
Flash - The best get away spell there is, it also can make it easier to catch people who are trying to flee.
Ghost - Good for chasing or for getting back to your lane in a hurry.
