Hello! Welcome to my GP jungle guide.
Jungle Gangplank is viable against some team comps and with some team comps. Mostly, it's best used if top or mid is ad melee with a stun or slow. Very viable against cc heavy teams.
Don't use GP against counter junglers or fast clearers.
Movement speed helps with catching players, attack damage is necessary to farm early. If you don't have ms quints, use ad runes. MR per level is pretty useful as well as armor.
Gangplank needs damage for farming and viability. Having increased buff time also helps. CD reduce for his Q.
Depending on what you are facing against, you build accordingly. Sometimes you have to build offtank ad with CD reduce, sometimes pure damage works better. Really, it depends on if you are against kiters or tanks. VS tanks, you need damage, vs. kiters follow the anti-kiter build.
Spirit visage is an amazing item on gp, maxed out, it provides 72 extra hp from W and CD reduce as well as tankiness. Other items are mainly for damage, and GP.
Max your Q first because it gives you more GP. max your W next for sustain in the jungle. obviously max your R as soon as possible. E is not needed to max until much later, since you should already be pretty fast and deal quite a bit of damage.
Q the jungle monsters, it gives you GP. Use W for sustain in jungle or for escaping CC. Q and E allow you to gank. Q and basic attacks slow, and E gives MS, so try to poke as much as you can. R, your ultimate, is for saving lanes and for protecting teammates. Use it on minions in a pushed lane, or a teamfight.

Try to ward your jungle as much as possible.
Start blue, and spam W for sustain. Go to wolves and then go to red. At level 3 try to apply some pressure on ganks.
Farm as much as possible! you are a carry jungler, so you need to farm to win. Health pots are important early on, as well as wards for their jungle. Get boots asap, and feral. Map presence is the most powerful aspect you have. Counter jungle ONLY if you know it's safe.
Using smite first then Q to take jungle monsters is advised for the massive gain in gp.
W removes all CC and heals.
E gives a speed boost
that and your passive makes it difficult to run away from gp.
R fires your cannons, giving you global presence.
