Introduction

Hey guys :D
I know this isn't the most conventional build for Dr. Mundo, but at least try it once, please. I think you'll like it. This build will make you really tanky and in late game you'll be undestroyable, killing anyone from the opposing team (that isn't super fed) in a x1 battle.

Here are some of the abreviations I'll use trough the guide:
- MR: Magic Resistante
- HR: Health Regen
- HP: Health Regen
- AD: Attack Damage
- AP: Ability Power

Runes

I've tried to mix scaling and non-scaling runes and it appears to be very nice. Here's why: In the early game, you get an increse in the stats you need for tanking (MR, HR and Armor). But, if you only get non-scaling runes, in the late game (where you should be at your best), those runes will be only rubbish. So, by mixing them, you get pretty good action in both late and early game. The magic penetration helps you to deliver more damage with your cleavers and your Burning Agony.

Masteries

Yeah, I know it only has defensive masteries (except for Summoner's Wrath), but this will make you as tanker as hell and that`s what you want, because that way you can support by taking damage and by saving your buddies. Also, the attacking comes together, 'cause by being able to take so much damage you'll have forever to kill your enemies.

Items

As I said before, you need to be reaaaaally tanker to have time enough to deal tons of damage and help your squishy allies to smash your enemies. So... you start with 2 Rejuvenation Beads and 3 Health Potions. Pretty unconventional? Yes. Are you going to sell one of the beads? Yes. But it does have some awesome results. That way, if you are careful enough and don't just dive into the enemy trying to get the First Blood to your AD Carry, you'll be able to stay a long, long time in the lane, gaining lots of gold to your first return to base. Farm while your ADC is at the base or dead and when you see he just won't get the last hits. That allows you to have your Giant's Belt and your Boots of Speed when you get to base again in the first time in the game. By the early/mid game you'll already have your Warmog's and the enemies will have a tough time trying to kill you. So then you finish your Mercury's Treads, that help you get rid of those Ignites and slows and also some early game MR. Since there aren't any EXCELENT MR items for Mundo.
