Introduction

Hello this is my 1st guide on Mobafire and sorry for bad english:/. I created this guiede cuz Urgot is my main champion in LoL and I know how to play him pretty good, but i didn't found any guide on Mobafire that fits my gameplay.

Pros / Cons

Pros
-early game dominance
-great range
-very annoying
-very good shield with good slow
-ugly (or Cons)

Cons
-Squishy at start
-hard to master
-no escape mechanism

Summoner Spells

This is most important summoner spell for Urgot. Yes its nerfed but you are squishy at start and you have no escape mechanism (you have Hyper-Kinetic Position Reverse after level 6 but its helps you only if enemy is closer to your tower then you are). You can also use Hyper-Kinetic Position Reverse on enemy too put him in middle of your team and then use Flash to escape from enemies.

As sad before you are squishy at start and you don't have escape mechanism. You can use it to stay in range for Acid Hunter and to chase down fleeing enemies.

You can pick this instead of Ghost if you see enemy team has many AD carries or if you are lainning against AP nuke ( LeBlanc or Annie or Akali etc.)

If you like more damage and more kills late game or you want to go for FB then pick Ignite but you will have one less escape spell.

Masteries

With masteries I go 21-0-9. In offense is most important to take Weapon Expertise and Sunder . Combined with your items no armor can stop you. Take 1 point in Summoner's Wrath to improve Ghost and 4 points in Sorcery for CDR.
Pick other things in offense as you like just don't take critical chance/strike cuz this build isn't about critical strike and if played right you shouldn't normal attack much.
In utility take 1 point in Summoner's Insight for improved Flash and 3 points in Expanded Mind or Good Hands (as you prefer). 4 points in Swiftness are very important cuz if you don't start with Boots you are so damn slow -.-
and last point put Runic Affinity for extended buff duration. Blue buff always helps at start.

Runes

For Quintessence I take Greater Quintessence of Desolation cuz your early game is already strong and you are weaker at late game. Arp will rally boost your damage.
For Marks I take Greater Mark of Desolation for the same reason as Quintessence.
For Seals I take Greater Seal of Scaling Mana Regeneration cuz you run out of mana quickly at until you don't get Tear of the Goddess.
And for the Glyphs I get Greater Glyph of Cooldown Reduction cuz to shot 4 Acid Hunter in 1 Terror Capacitor you need minimum of 25% CDR. You could get Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist too.

Skills

One of the most unknown and underestimated passive in game.
15% damage reduction for 2,5 sec! I just love it! It can reduce damage of one or more targets. This passive puts you in role of very good anti-carry.

This is your main damage ability. It has crazy damage early/mid game and even late if you get fed. Its pretty hard to hit but combined with Noxian Corrosive Charge you can auto-lock them and shot them trough a great distance. Its great last hitting ability too and with 1.2CD(with CDR) will build your Tear of the Goddess or Manamune up really fast. On hit it will apply you passive and slow from Terror Capacitor but not others on-hit effects.

I just love this spell! Its shield you for 320 damage and you normal attacks and Acid Hunter will slow your target 40%. Note that more Mr and Ar you have more damage will shield absorb. This ability is used mainly for kitting your opponent and staying in range for Acid Hunter. And do I need to say how many times shield saved me from Requiem or Ace in the Hole? And in teamfights shield makes you much more tanky and you aren't focused so much.

] This ability allows you to missile-lock your target with Acid Hunter. This is your fearsome combo and allows you to dominate your early/mid game and help you to destroy enemy carry in teamfights. Its deals nice damage too if you max it 2nd. In teamfights tag as many targets as you can with it. You can use Noxian Corrosive Charge to scout bushes too cuz it revels the ares for a moment.

Hyper-Kinetic Position ReverseThis is you ultimate. If you ask me its one of the best ultimates in game but only if used right. Those who disagree with me didn't play Urgot yet or they failed hard with him. It have so many uses. You can catch fleeing enemy, cancel Absolute Zero or Death Lotus, save you carry by stunning his attacker or joust to escape. Its passive gives you short Ar and Mr boost and makes very tanky for a short period. Its very useful in team fight bonus Mr, Ar + Terror Capacitor you can absorb much more damage they would expect.

Skill Sequence

Start with one point in Acid Hunter and max it 1st. Then you put one point in Noxian Corrosive Charge to start with your combo. I max it last. At level 4 you put one point in Terror Capacitor
and then max it second. I saw many players to max it last and maxian Noxian Corrosive Charge second but in my eyes bonus shield and stronger slow is much better then bonus damage. As all ultimate you grab Hyper-Kinetic Position Reverse at level 6,11 and 16.

Starting Items

In 99% games I start with Meki Pendant and 2 Health Potion. Provide great lain sustain with MP5 which you really need cuz you will harasse you opponet or last hit whit your Acid Hunter if you opponent went back to base. And unlike dorans items you can buy 2 Health Potion for longer lain sustain (in most games you wont even need them cuz you will out poke you opponent so hard he wont be able to do anything). And again unlike doran items it doesn't slow down you build and its the upgraded to Tear of the Goddess.
You could start with boots and 3 potions but i start with boots only when I know I will face someone like Karthus or Cassiopeia. But again in most games you won't need those potions so advantage of boots isn't as good on Urgot as on most others champions. BUY Boots AFTER tears of goddess!!!!!!
in your 1st trip back you should buy this and Boots if you have money. With this item your mana problems are over and you will soon upgrade it to Manamune. If you are doing extremely well and have gold for Manamune BUY IT. Skip Boots and buy them in next tripe back.

Core Items

This is your 1st big item. Its built from tears of goddess so you mana problems are alredy over and this item will boost your AD As you will get more mana trough the game more AD you will have. You can build up its passive quickly by last hitting minions with Acid Hunter so its passive bonus 1000MP will be finished in about 15-20 min after you bought tears of goddes/ Manamuneand its provide +20AD which is nice. With full build (3789 MP) its passive will give you +76AD with base stats +20AD =+96AD which is 4 less then farmed Bloodthirsterbut for 890GP less and you wont lose any AD by dieing (you shouldn't die but is happens). Who would say no to Manamune? Note: Some guides says to sell you Manamune in late game but don't do that cuz you will run out of mana in the middle of a teamfight and +96AD is really nice. (you don't have big mana problems in the late game but you mana still run out and 99% there is one in team that need blue buff more then you do).
Upgrade your boots after you buy your Manamune. 25Mr and 35 Tenacity, boots that goes on any champion. You can take [Ionian Boots of Lucidity] too but from Frozen Heart, The Brutalizer and masteries you have 35.9%CDR and you need it only 25%CDR for 4 shots of Acid Hunter in 1 Noxian Corrosive Charge. Even if you in late game sell The Brutalizer you have 25.9%CDR which is enough for combo.
Pretty cheap item that give you nice AD boost and even more important it gives you 10%CDR and 15Arp. Buy it mainly for CDR and early Arp you cant skip it but its one of most price-efficiently item in game. Sell it in late game and buy one item from Optional Items list eg. Bloodthirster or another defensive item depending from game you currently playing in.
One of may favorite items in game! +40AD and 40%Arp! Damage from this item is higher them from Bloodthirster and cuz Acid Hunter doesn't scale very well in late game (0.85 per AD isn't so great in late game), works Arp so great on Urgot. And you will be able to kill tanks like they have no armor.

Optional items

Another great item for Urgot. 500MP will give +10AD from Manamune, 99Ar will make you whey more tanky and its passive (20% attack speed reduction for nearby enemies) is great for role of anti-carry= Urgot. But you can skip this item if enemy team doesn't have many AD carries. (was listed in core items cuz works perfectly on Urgot but i removed it cuz if enemy team doesn't have many AD its efficient drops almost to zero.
This item is good on Urgot too but i prefer [Frozen Heart]] (in most cases I take both). It gives you 375MP(7.5 AD cuz of Manamune), 375 HP which makes you more durable and 50Mr. But item is so good cuz of its passive to block one spell every 30 sec. Same as Frozen Heart you can skip it if enemy team doesn't have many AP carries.
Another defensive item which gives you 68Ar and 38Mr and its great if you are facing balanced team. And it has great passive too! Upon death it revives you with 750HP and 350MP. Its just so great. Note that passive have 5 min CD and when you die and you have its passive in CD you can sell it and buy another thing(if you have too much money-being too fed) eg. Bloodthirster, Phantom Dancer or Warmog's Armor, Frozen Mallet. But you will still see the CD of Guardian Angel even if you sold it. If you don't like Guardian Angel buy one thing listed on ''Other viable items'' list. Its just my personal preference it isn't nothing better on Urgot then any other champion.

Other viable items

]Nice damage and life steal is never bad. You can sell your The Brutalitzer and buy Bloodthirster instead of it. But I suggest to buy it only when you have full build.
Another damage item you can buy in late game but i don't like it much on Urgot cuz whit this build you don't normal attack much.
If you don't buy Frozen Heart or Banshee's Veil(read above) you can go for Warmog's Armor but usually I buy Bloodthirster instead. Buy it if your team hasn't good tank or you think you are to squishy.
Buy it for the same reasons as Warmog's Armor. With Frozen Mallet you will get less HP but it will boost you AD. I suggest Warmog's Armor cuz 700 more HP from Warmog's Armor is better then +20AD from Frozen Mallet. And you already have your own slow so you don't need one from Frozen Mallet.

Game play

EARLY GAME

Early game is where Urgot really shine. Take mid if you can cuz on side lain it will be harder to farm and its much easier to harass your opponent on mid lain. Till level 2 play defensive, don't engage your opponent and try to farm as much as you can. When you reach level 2 you learn Noxian Corrosive Charge. Now is time to start harassing your opponent. Tag him with Noxian Corrosive Charge and lunch 3 Acid Hunter after him. In 90% cases they will run and you will have easy job last hitting minions. At level 4 you will learn Terror Capacitor and your job to out-poke your opponent will become even easier. At this point if you are doing well you should have 1 or more kills. Don't worry if he escaped you if he went back or he is staying at his turret with low hp he wont get full EXP and won't be able to get last hits.
