Why My Build?

Using this build to have an end game Amumu that will provide a lot of aoe damage, have the cc needed to start team fights, and possibly change the game. Amumu's W can do 4% max health per second, Liandry's can do 2% per second, and cinderhulk can do 51 flat magic damage the per second. All this together allows Amumu to be tanky while doing a shizzton of aoe damage at the same time. If you would like info on the Full AP build look at the notes on the #2

Pros / Cons

Pros
+ Provides alot of "D-O-T"

+ Provides alot of AOE Damage

+ Good intiater

+ Tanky

+ Kills both Tanks and Carries quite easily

+ Mana usually isn't a problem unless you never have blue

Cons
+ Amumu in general is pretty slow, so you can get caught when using this build.

+ Does not provide alot of early game damage

+ Vulnerable to counter jungling

+ Armor and Magic Resist are normally built later (Liandry's -> Tank)

Items

Core Items:

Cinderhulk Enchantment: Works very well with Amumu's W and Liandry's.

Ninja Tabi: An item you should get. These boots work really well against auto attacks along with your e passive.

Liandry's Torment: Adds tons of damage when used with Amumu's W and Cinderhulk. The +15 Magic pen also helps in the same way as Sorc shoes.
Late Game Items:
Rylai's: this item is very viable since patch 5.16 because of the changes to the MR items being generally buffed which allows you to have another free item slot to add this into your build, generally you would want to take this because it gives health a 1% more damage to your despair but also gives you alot of health and a perma-slow at the same time.
Frozen Heart: Tons of armor, Mana, CDR, and a passive that doubles the passive on Liandry's. The mana helps with Amumu's mana problems, the armor will lower the damage from physical damage, and the cool down reduction will allows for more gap closers, more damage, and more ultimates. The passive will lower the attack speed of enemies and double the damage from Liandry's.

Abyssal Scepter: Always a nice item to have on Amumu, another item which allows you to shred health off people with his despair.
Situational Items:

Banshee's Veil: A great MR and health item that will make it easier to engage a team fight due to the shield stopping the first crowd control that hits you. sacrifices damage for tankiness if replaced with abyssal
Sorcerer's Shoes: Good for early game and late game DOT. Since all abilities and items Amumu deal magic damage, the magic pen will increase the damage, but since this is a guide focusing on a tanky amumu, ninja tabi is preferred.
Void Staff: I would recommend building this in place of Rylai's if their team has many tanks. This is because Amumu does a lot of percent health damage along with the core items. If you build this you will notice that change in damage towards tanks.

Zhonya's Hourglass: pretty viable option in patch 5.16, replace this with rylais and you have a guranteed 250+ armor

Sunfire Cape:You're gonna need this item if you don't buy the cinderhulk enchantment. If you buy Cinderhulk DO NOT BUY THIS, THEY DO NOT STACK!

Thornmail: An item you will sometimes have to get in the case of an auto attack reliant team.
Randuin's Omen: Great amount of armor and health. The slow helps to stick to opponents when Amumu's ultimate or Bandage Toss is not up. This was replaced by Sunfire Cape until Cinderhulk was added.

Masteries

Personally, the masteries in preseason 6 are so flexible you can choose your own path, if you want to go a more damage-like Amumu, choose the Deathfire's touch and Thunderlord's keystone path. But if you would like to remain more like a tank then any of the resolve keystones work as well.

Skill Sequence

Maxing W: This is good for jungle clear speeds, it's okay for when you are ganking.

Maxing E: This is good for ganking, it's okay for your jungle clear speeds.
