What would be sweet for this guide is a section on your own support. Just so you know, one of the best supports for Varus is actually Lulu - she complements his poke and has a speed boost which fixes his mobility problems. Lulu is also a hard counter to Leona and is very strong against Blitzcrank.

@ DarkPercy:

I understand your point. The main thing I was going for was starting with w at level 1 and may have gotten a little carried away with maxing it first. Starting with w gives you a little bit of extra last hitting power at early levels and gives you the ability to blow up your blight stacks early. I will change the guide accordingly.

@corruptsoul

Since it was my first guide I didn't go crazy with the pictures and stuff, but I will try to add more to make it more visually appealing. I also see your point about mr per level runes. I think I had originally bought the flat mr runes for another build and just didn't bother to buy new ones when I made my ad carry rune page. You are correct, per level mr would make more sense because you won't typically be laning against a spellcaster with lots of ap early levels.

I think this is a pretty good guide. You need to add some coding and make it purdy for us viewers. Check out Jhoijhoi's guide to make a guide. Also for your runes you use straight magic resist runes. You should go for the per level runes, since you wont be seeing much AP until late game, where the runes are more important. +1 from me!

Maxing W is pretty idea to be honest my friend. It deals damage based on enemy % of HP and if you max it first, people don't even have much HP at all that early in the game. Also, your W deals magic damage and that doesn't at all with any form of AD or Armpen you will get. All that means your W is still gonna do pitiful damage and there's other skills that could be much more effective if you maxed them first.

For example, his Q is an AMAZING farming and harassing tool (charge Q in bush and get rid of half their HP if you hit...). When maxed first and when you get tons of AD and Armor Pen (Like you, you rush Bloodthirster and get Armor pen runes), it deals INSANE amounts of damage.

Hell even E could be maxed first to increase the slow to keep enemies in the anti-healing area for longer. That could be effective against Soraka's. E also gives much more damage than W and it's also much more reliable than W.

You really don't need that extra 10-20 damage on W to last hit bro. It's not NECESSARY.

Yes, AD champions are meant for autoattacking but early game their spells are still much stronger and useful than their autoattacks....

Think about the main purpose of an ad champion... auto attacking. Maxing w first gives you lots of extra damage per auto attack as well as provides extra damage when you use abilities. If you were instead to max q first it wouldn't provide the same amount of damage. Additionally, your q is inherently bad on an ad carry whose main purpose is to auto attack. Taking time to charge q prevents auto attacks and thus lowers your damage output. When you max w first you never take the time to charge you q unless you need the extra range for a snipe and instead use press and release q immediately for the burst damage from your 3 blight stacks. The only reason to max q instead would be for the poke damage it provides, but it isn't a very good poke in the laning phase. If you aren't careful you will hit minions and push the wave, not to mention when you start charging q you broadcast your intentions to the enemy making it very easy to dodge.
