Vayne may very well be one of the best if not the best ranged AD champion in the game. Equipped with Silver Bolts and she's on her way to a flurry of kills and carrying her team.

An alternate for Bloodthirster can be The Black Cleaver as it gives much needed attack speed as well. Also, when you've completed the item build, sell the Doran's Blade for Infinity Edge.

Laning/Summary

I recommend laning with Vayne with a tankish hard hitting champ such as Garen, Cho Gath, or Gragas, because Vayne is too squishy laning with any other kind of champ. Even a support would like Kayle would be fine.

It's vital to try to max out Silver Bolts because that is what kills enemy champions the quickest. I've seen many other builds that level up Silver Bolts last and it frustarates me because it makes no sense. 8% TRUE DAMAGE OF THEIR MAX HEALTH. COME ON.
