Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Veigar is a really fun to play champ, but the person playing the master of evil needs to be aware of squishiness, and that he will get focused immediately !
- Really fun to play
- One of the best bursts in the game, if played well
- Great escaping mechanism - Event Horizon
- AoE Stun
- Beast champions against other AP characters
- Fast fingers is a must
- Focused a lot
Summoner Spells - Why?
Flash- The most overpowered spell in the game. Why? You can jump through walls to catch your prey, dodge attacks, run away and even tower dive someone in less than a second ! Great attacking mechanism combined with your AoE stun !Teleport - Considering you are going mid lane you will be facing a really champions to play against, you will want to go back because of either your low health, low mana or even a need to buy an item. A teleport will enable you to go back to your lane full on health and mana quickly before your enemy goes back and quickly kill him, or defend your tower once he attacks. Also a really good tool for ganks- Good choice for veigar.
The build and Gameplay !
THE COMBO/THE BURST/THE NUKE ORDER :
- Hit the enemy with EVENT HORIZON touching the enemy champions just on the edge of the AoE.
- You want to hit DARK MATTER as soon as you released your AoE stun in the place where the enemy champion has been caught.
- Send your ULTI down on him - nothing special, but it will consume half of his HP !!!
- Finish off with your Baleful Strike to get the kill and the AP from your passive.
You will want to grab a Meki Pendant along with your 2x Health Pots. This will enable to farm your creeps with just last hitting them with your first skill Q, with your mana regenerating quite quickly so you don't get OOM (out of mana). You will want your minions to stay quite close to your tower, but far enough from range of your tower, so you can last hit minions, without being worried of getting ganked.
After a short period of time you will be able to buy your boots and improve your item to build a Tear of the Goddess. This will keep you full mana nearly all the time, and will enable you to carry on with spamming your Q and gaining this ADDITIONAL AP, using your skill's passive.
At about 20-25 minutes you will have a good amount of AP to be able to take someones 80% of life or even kill some squishy bastard, which isn't aware of your skills !
Get bluebuff as much as you possibly can and ask your jungler frequently, so your mana regen and your cooldowns are ****ing immense !
Rabandon's Deathcap to give you this extra boost in AP, which you will probably need to one hit someone in the face and rip the **** OUT OF THEM, then a Rylai's to give you some survability - YOU ARE SQUISHY - REMEMBER THAT, don't try to be a team hero and initiate with your stun - that's not how it works - your aim is to go 3rd in and destroy their ap/ad carry and get the hell out, and don't die till your cooldowns are up again.
Two last items are ocassional items - Items that you should adapt according to your opposing team. Those will usually be defensive items which will keep you alive - such as health, armor and magic resist.
