Lich Bane on veigar...

Why not? It deals 100% AP damage on your next auto-attack. Since Veigar relies on his stun to maximise damage, I don't see why you can't fit an auto-attack in.

I wouldn't go Boots of Swiftness, but then again, Veigar is mighty slow. I'd prefer Mercury's Treads if I'm not going Sorceror's Boots, though. That Tenacity is just too important to pass up.

What I don't get is the Regrowth Pendant and Philosopher's Stone start... Boots and pots much better or even Meki Pendant and potions for a later Athene's Unholy Grail for that CDR.

Heart of Gold is getting removed anyway, but even if it wasn't, that just puts you too far behind on damage... you want to maximise Veigar's damage as quickly as possible, so rushing that Rabadon's Deathcap is much better than wasting 850g on HoG only to sell it later on... I doubt you'd have it long enough for it to pay itself off.

Overall, this is a good guide, deserving of an up-vote.

There are just a few things that I would like to point out:

1. Don't use Boots of Swiftness. It doesn't give you anything else, and it's really a waste of a slot.
2. Place a point into Runic Affinity . It helps you keep that blue buff longer, which is really nice.
3. Perhaps clean up the runes section a bit? It's kinda messy right now, IMO.
4. Try using Brute Force instead of Mental Force . The AD helps a lot with last-hitting, and the AP doesn't help you much: It's only an extra 2 damage off Baleful Strike. Auto attack harassing works really well early game, too. I do that for just about all of my AP mid champions.

Fairly good guide, but maxing W instead of Q will give you more burst when used properly, and it will give you possibility to farm both wraith camps getting small adventage over the enemy.

Guess it's still good, but the ones i'm using (ap per lvl) still fit my playstyle. Flat mres works against harass lanes, like Cassiopeia. Thanks for reminding me this option, i'll fill it up right away

What do you think of Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist for him? Since he has AP gain.
