Overall ok build but I have a couple problems with it. First you do not have tear of the goddess which is a must on veigar. PLus archangels gives a lot of ap to boot. I feel like you are also building a little to defensive with this build with Hourglass and scepter. I think veigar does not need defense because never engages anyway and has flash to get away if needed. Also, why get two escape/chase spells? I think you should get either ghost or flash, not both. With that aside nice build. |

First off, thanks for the vote! Secondly, Tear of the Goddess is not essential if you can get your teammates to help you get blue buff on occasion during the game. More often than not, mid to late game, you won't be going back only for lack of mana but also to regenerate your health. Yes, if you look at my guide, a fully stacked Archangel's gives you 109 AP. However, you will rarely get to that mark, even in a 45 minute game. Zhonya's Hourglass is great for late game survival both to block enemy crowd control or other ultimates (Karthus is a great example) and against physical DPS champions. Abyssal Scepter is a really nice counter to the casters you are supposed to be wrecking by giving you survivability against people like Malzahar or Annie who might kill you before you kill them otherwise. Also, both of these items give you quite a bit of AP combined, so you really aren't sacrificing AP of survivability. I go with Flash and Ghost simply because Flash does have a long cooldown, and I've needed both more often than I've been able to keep track of. Clarity's effectiveness is good early game, but fades off late, Ignite is only good early, and Teleport may be situationally useful to protect towers (more often you won't be using it to push towers), but not worth grabbing over Ghost in my opinion. There's my refutation. If you want to argue anything further, I'm all for it! Thanks again!

really nice guide. i always take mejai's since veigar stun in a team fight = 5 assists at least ;). so keep it up and bring us more guides |
