Additional tips
1. As Veigar, you'll more than likely be doing to the most damage throughout the game.
2. Your AP Is Scaled off of your Q. So once you get going with kills, you can only get stronger.
3. Veigar can destroy tanks with his E/W/Q/R combo, allowing easier base defense as well as team fights/pushes.
4. You get to listen to the other team rage and complain about how broken Veigar is (which he definitely is), while your team praises you.
Cons:
1. Veigar is extremely squishy, so using his E to escape chases is never a bad idea.
2. The Mid/Late game focus on you will make you want to shoot yourself.
Equilibrium: passive is definitely broken, given you can farm cs early/mid game. I try not to engage in lane until I get Needlessly Large Rod (when building DG of course). I find that I need that AP to do any damage with my abilities.
Baleful Strike: This passive is definitely broken, given you can farm cs early/mid game. I try not to engage in lane until I get Needlessly Large Rod (when building DG of course). I find that I need that AP to do any damage with my abilities. And instead, I aim for 50+ cs before first back. That should be enough to grab NLR and a few potions before returning to lane to wreck your enemies.
Dark Matter: This skill's base damage is absolutely phenomenal. I think it's safe to say all of Veigar's abilities are broken. Though this skill does a lot of damage, the wait time before it strikes makes it clear why comboing it with Veigar's E is so necessary. This skill is also a great anti-chase ability to use while on the run i(f your chaser is low enough), and you can time the landing of Dark Matter, you can probably sneak in a kill or two before escaping
Event Horizon: Definitely the key to getting kills with Veigar. If you can time this ability with Veigar's others, kills are basically being handed to you.
Primordial Burst: Probably the most powerful burst ability I've seen in my time playing League. For all I know there are better abilities, and there probably are, but this is by far the most powerful ability I've seen or used.

This is going to be one unorganized, thrown-together paragraph but here goes. Starting from early game, I completely ignore the champ I'm laning against and farm my Q. I try to get 1,700-1,900 gold before I go back (usually takes till about 10 minutes in) Of course, if you're getting bullied to hard, don't force yourself to stay in lane. Just go back, stock up on items and spend whatever you have left on health/mana potions. I usually have no need for mana potions past 20 minutes, simply because I have Morellonomicon by that point, as well as going back more often isn't a huge loss any more. Once I get my Needlessly Large Rod, as well as 2 or 2 health potions, I head back to lane to bring on the pain. I engage with Veigar's E, immediately using my W on them afterwards, followed by his Q and, if necessary, his R. Usually once I get 1 or 2 kills early game, it's already over. I only get stronger from there. I pressure my team to grab dragon (usually around 12-15 minutes in game), obviously because the 8% AP boost can never hurt Veigar. From there on I try to play smart, engage only when I know I can kill, and don't feed. Don't stress out if you have a few deaths without kills during early game. On multiple occasions I have fed 7 or 8 kills without getting a single kill, and ended the game with around 15-20 kills. Comebacks with Veigar are very common, since his scaling AP can only progress throughout the game. From there on, I just play with my team, grab dragon/baron whenever they're available, and win.
Thank you for reading my guide! If you don't mind, please rate it or DM me any opinions on what you think I should change or go into more detail on. Veigar is one of my favorite champions to play(especially when the other team isn't very happy), so I figured I'd share my experience and opinions with the people of mobafire!
