Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Welcome at my guide for my own AP veigar. In this build we mainly focus on his Ap and of course mana as he needs enough mana cause without mana veigar would be an easy kill.
This build is made for 5 vs 5 games only, i can not guarantee it will work well in 3 vs 3 games so be warned.
We start with the marks for magic penetration which is always usefull. then we follow up with Ap seals AND glyphs as this gives us almost 20 Ap from lvl 1, add your tome to it and you start with 40 Ap which makes your spells already hurt pretty much early game. We add a quintessence for mana in it as it comes in handy soon enough and we finish off with some extra magic penetration and AP quints.
Why didn't i picked cooldown glyphs you might ask. The answer is pretty simple, you NEED a good start and what helps more then a strong attack from lvl 1 already with a multitarget as it hit an area and everyone inside it. Cooldown reduction won't help much early game, besides veigar is a nuker, he should be able to kill them in max 3 spells (usually it can be in even 1 spell).
The usual mage masteries so i doubt you need any info about it, if you do then feel free to ask in the comments below.
we start off withand a health potion as we go mid lane usually. Since we got a nice AoE spell from start we try to use it to kill as many minions as possible while harassing your opponent without taking to many risks. You'll farm fast with it and once you got baleful strike you can use it to last hit kill minions to increase your AP even more which is advised to do whenever possible. You won't have to worry about mana to much yet as you got clarity and your passive to supply it for quite a while if timed correctly. Once you finished of your opponent AND got enough gold to upgrade , you recall to base. Now you getfor increased AP and passively gold boost andfor more speed if you have to chase or escape or afor spellvamp which makes you survive longer. You also should have farmed a decent amount of AP with baleful strike now so we can continue farmind and harrassing while getting gold to buyor directly afor mana increase and Ap. Now keep farming as you gain gold, AP and mana very fast while keeping a safe distance from your enemy until you can kill him. Remember to stay carefull as your powers grow with every kill. The less times you die the stronger you'll get and the bigger your advantage. Now once we farmed enough we go getordepending on your opponent team. If none of the got high magic resist you can rush deathcap first, otherwise get the void staff first. Later you pick the other one of the two. Now all thats left is to upgrade both our revolver and pick into aand[/img]. Now you'll have a devastating amount of mana and AP, enough to kill most normal champs with 1 or 2 spells. Combine it with strong team efforts and you can get huge kill streaks by stun + dark matter combo's.
ghost: you might need speed to chase opponents but more to excape them when they figure out your plan.
clarity: always usefull for mages, gives you an advantage early game and can be used in a few ways to get to your goal. (when low on mana let them come to you then use clarity and combine skills to finish them off)
other usefull spells: cleanse, flash, ignite, heal
Pros / Cons
- massive spell damage
- can onehit enemies late game
- can reach the max AP bound in a long game
- has multitarget spells (2)
- low health
- weak early game unless used well
- requires skill to use
- takes time to master completely
Well i hope the build helped you out a little. If you got any questions feel free to ask below, any feedback is welcome aswell ^^
