Building an early Sightstone is like building a gold generation item because you gain free wards after a specific period of time instead of buying them seperated.

Agreed, sometimes I build Haunting Guise for Leona first though, because better penetration means easier lane and better poke (snowball). Just make sure you have enough ward coverage yet.

Also, Exhaust is pretty much the to-go for Vel'Koz as well now.

yeah, edison, this is explained in the masteries session, actually there are options there for some masteries I think would be better on VK. the reasons are explained there, but good changes are:
Scout over Bandit
Summoner's Insight over Strength of Spirit and
Expose Weakness over Double-Edged Sword

In my opinion these changes makes him better, but as I said, that was a standard mastery page, that fits really well with other champions like Lulu and Annie...

Emoriam_ Yes, indeed, an early Sightstone means you will spend less gold in wards, but if you are willing to spend more gold in ward in order to get an early damage dealing it may cause a good snowball affect. Of couse, in a high level gameplay the snowball opportunities are really scarse, so is better to go for Sightstone first.

EdisonKhoo_ Muramana's active has a great burst effect, its better in AD champions because it boosts your AD, but for Syndra, as an example, her ult can fire up to 5 energy bassl in a single target, even with the AP of Seraph's Embrace, the damage is lower than the burst of Muramana, calculating (and simplifying) on a 1800 mana pool, 5 hits dealing 6% of this number in damage is about 108*5=540 physical damage. If you have a tear full stacked at level 13 and turn it immediatelly in a Muramana you have 80% more burst damage in her ult. Vel'Koz's Ultimate is an area of effect skill, so this damage is not applied, this way is a completelly useless item but for its mana.

Both_ you guys think this is a topic to expand in the guide?

Actually Muramana is for AD Champs, Seraph's Embrace is for AP Champs. At the "Do Not Buy Items", you wrote Muramana has awesome effect in AP Champions....
