I didnt include a masteries part on the guide since it seemed like a waste of time for the reader but if you ask me why i choose them ofc i can tell it.

why not fervor of battle ?:
It ONLY deals extra damage against champions not creeps. Even thought it ccan be stacked of creeps, it decays over 5 seconds and you cant reach a lane after killing the golems in 5 seconds. which means its no use for gangs and team fights since you cant stack it that fast either.

why deathfire touch ?:
it gives a little bit of burst when you gang and in team fights to assasinate targets. Its mostly 50 more damage, which matters so much while ganging an enemy.

why not runic affinity ?:
utility tree is not as good as defense. if you go with utility tree you have to get dangerous game which you dont need since you are not a laner. no need to talk about bandit. even tohugh merciless is very good, its not worth it. you dont need cookies since you go with jungler potion. runic affinity is good but only for early game and baron buff. since you are gonna give blue to mid laner and red to adc you dont really need this treat. other than that even if it seems weak having 15 percent cd on your flash and specialy smite is so big of a deal. explorer gives a little movement speed...its not that good. even the ability is good 12 is really little, but you still take it instead of though skin, since Vi has no problem clearing jungle.

Are you gonna expand on the Masteries section? Why Deathfire Touch instead of Fervor of Battle? Or why not invest in the Cunning tree for Runic Affinity? (though I can guess why). These are not accusatory in any way, just want you're point of view. Please respond at you're earliest convenience.

So basically if i miscalculate and grab the wrong pair of boots, and cant farm enough to replace them without falling behind on the rest of my build, then it wouldnt be the end of the world? I am starting to feel like I might be putting too much though/concern into just deciding on boots when i should really focus on other things lol

there is no real efficent item that gives cc reduction even if the enemy team is full ap and has TONS of cc. you still wouldn't buy a Mercurial Scimitarbecause, you dont need cc removal that much, this is not WoW, and you also dont want that much of an offensive item. But even after Mercury's Treads if you still think you need cc reduction you can buy Elixir of Iron which also gives cc reduction. But you cant get more cc reduction than the boots unless its end game ( if you are full build) than you might want to buy an Elixir of Iron.

( if you are not playing ranked/serious and you are going full AD AND you are against a AP kinda team than you will buy a Mercurial Scimitar. )

So to break it down concerning just the boots, there is a bit more to consider than just "is the average damage AD or AP based" which is sorta what i was doing, the only thing that would factor in to change that is if they were more AD based but finding myself locked down with cc often enough that the trade for defense was worth the reduction of cc duration. Which brings me to my next question, is the cc reduction on the boots able to hold up on its own or should it be supplemented with something else to really bring out its effect? The only example i can think of is getting the mercurial scimitar for it's active, or is that just redundant?

Against and AP team comp you mostly wont buy 2 armor items since you want to go for MR mostly. And in these comps the only AD threat is the ADC so you want to block their damage with the passive of Ninja Tabi. And also it is very hard to afford a Mercury's Treads at the very beginning. Unless you are going with a damage oriented build, you dont really need to care about hard cc since they will use it on your carries. And also there is not much AoF hard cc that goes for a long time, other than sejuani's ultimate, Ahse's ultimate, and morgana. Of course you can tweak up build depending on the enemy team.
At AD comps. Lets think of an enemy team of that kind. Zed, Jinx Karma Lee Sin Cho'Gath. You arent really worried about zed since he cant / wont kill you. He will rush for the carries instead. Jinx will kite you hard if you try to ult her without a team that is ready to kill her. Randuin's Omen this will lower the damage of crits + it slows. And karma and malphite these will hurt you but you dont want to go MR just because of them so you banshee which has an awesome shield. this armor is not enough so you ofc buy dead mans plate too. You need some damage, well there is just 1 spot left in the build and its boots...you always want some cc reduction and you are also a bit low on the MR.
This ofc depends on enemies there cant be a FIX build.
And about the trinket. All the abiliteis of vi is short ranged ( compared to the trinket ). If you want to ult someone behind the wall you can just toss a ward there. Its mostly taken by ADCs since they CANT risk face checking/ warding a brush ( they might get caught ). You have easy escapes with your q and tanky enough to escape ( they cant race dead mans plate....other than udyr). So i think wards are overall more usefull.
You dont need to "be polite or be careful typing" at least here.

So I noticed in the item section at the beginning of the guide, you have mercury treads in the high AD build, and ninja tabi in the high AP build. Is that how you meant for it to be, or was it just a mix up? I only ask as I have been playing a little while and always went treads vs ap/cc and tabi vs ad/auto-attack, just kinda hoping I haven't been wrong all this time, but wouldn't surprise me if I was lol.

(Sidenote: I rewrote this like 10 times trying to word my question politely but sometimes what I think is polite seems to be rude/arrogant towards others, so I apologize if my wording seems rude.)

Edit: Oh also, would the scrying trinket be viable at all, to try and attempt to snipe with Vi's ulti from a bit farther away, or is the range on her ult not enough to really make the scrying worth it?

*Before Guide* ... God dang it, why is all ad Vi sucking for me?? **** ...

*After reading Guide* 14 kills, 6 deaths with nearly 4 dragons and 2 barons. Everyone loves me and wants to befriend me as I play Vi now. No joke, thanks for the incredible Guide. Really helped me turn around and wreck as jungle Vi :) you get a vote up and fav.
