early game

vi is extremely powerful both in top lane and inn the jungle her heavy damage output and great survivability force the enemy team to babysit top lane providing openings for the rest of the team to take advantage of. start with a long sword and 2 pots and choose your excessive force first at level one this ability does the most damage of all your spells and it has 2 charges if there is a level one team fight you bring a lot to the table not to mention it hit ,multiple targets so multi kills are always better. if you like to play sake excessive force is great for clearing waves of minions and a good poke if the enemy is trying to stay back behind minions. max this as fast as possible since clearing minions will become easier and combine with denting blows the enemies health will disapear.

mid game

frozen mallet is your first big item keeping the enemy in place will insure that denting blows will do what it is intended to do. your vault breaker is the least important since the more you level it it does not increase the length of the charge or the duration of the knock up, this is simply a gap closer with some damage attached. by now you have your ult and should be working towards your boots and vampiric scepter. wait to turn it into a bloodthirster till you are consistantly able to survive encounters with the enemy. once you can survive adding damage will seal the deal in a fight. the second big item you need is your warrmog and your bulwark this will not only make you a force to be recconed with but the aura the bulwark gives off will increase your teams killing potential drasticlly.

late game

by now you have the majority of your build mallet, bloodthirster, warrmog, bulwark, boots and working towards your last item, you should be doing good damage as well as starting team fights if your not sure how to do that todays your lucky day im going to tell you. your ult is more than just a CC its an engage start the fight by ulting the support or the ADC which either one over extends first this will make the enemy team turn to you allowing your team to come in one you have taken out the support/ADC turn to the remaining support/ADC these are the two most important people on the team without them the game is yours.
