Wriggle's Lantern has become a trap item. Spirit of the Elder Lizard or Spirit of the Ancient Golem is a better choice.

Also, you don't have very good jungling runes. Tank, sure, but your jungle clear times are going to suffer.

'Also, it gives you a little bit of armor, which none of the spirit items give you'
Golem spirit = 30 armor + 500 hp + Tanacity + HP/MANA Regen
Wriggles = 30 Armor + 0Hp + 15 Attack Damage, 10 Life Steal + 75 gold every 3 min (2,4 gold per sec)
Lizard spirit = 50 Attack Damage, 10 Cooldown Reduction + 6-40 (based on level) true damage over 3 seconds + HP/MANA regen

Golem gives u 30 armor in case u ddnt notice yet AND 500hp and tanacity ! AND Regen
Lizard (i like it more) give u no sustain/survi but give u HUGE dmg potencial in midish time and 10cd is quite nice to have to, since u have big cd on skills early.
400gold for tanacity or true dmg and other thinkgs... You must be crazy to say it slow you down...

'3000g, you will have Tier 2 boots and the start of your Spirit item, where the other will have Tier 2 boots, Wriggle's, and the start of their Hexdrinker'
Lets make it 3400 and i have golem spirit + boots of swiftness. You have Ninja boots + Wriggles + sword + MR cape

60 speed / 45 speed | Me having 25% slow red + 35% tanacity from golem
30 Armor + 500 HP + regen / 55 Armor + 10% dmg red + 10% Lifesteal + 20MR

So im faster and have synergy with q skill on vi and tanacity help me escape.
I have more healty and good armor while u little more armor but its scale only with u basic HP but u have 10% dmg red from boots and have some MR. And u have lifesteal wich dont help u at the moment in fights but keep u hp better( not sure ) up.
What more 500 hp gives me 50 shield. So spirit is better suited to Vi than wriggles, and gives more to mid game as well as help late game to.
Both spirits + boots of swiftness give u better gank cappabilities than wriggles. Wriggles gives u only good early jungle susstain but u lost ganking cappabilities (dose not mean u dont have any...)
It all comes to this 10% lifesteal. I do understand that it fit to late game build but only on paper. Late game fights dont really give u chance to use this 10%. And having 500hp/30 armor and tanacity or dmg is totaly better.
But it is my way of seeing that and guesses u just have a way of playing Vi that plays well with this build iven tho other option are more VI-se

Honestly I agree with Enaio here, wriggles does seem to be a better choice with the build here especially with the more costly items he has thrown at the build (I'm looking at you Tri-Force and Maw). The only situation I would personally grab a spirit item over wriggles is if the enemy team has enough auto attacks/ad that I'm forced to build a ninja tabi, but they still have enough CC that I need the Tenacity/Health.

I'd also like to mention a few alternatives to consider. This is purely my theorizing having had very little experience with the champ.

With the Ninja Tabi build, instead of Atma's I wonder if it would be useful to build Ghostblade or Zephyr. From Atma's, at full build, not considering conditional items, you get 48 AD. With GB instead you get 18 less AD and none of the armor, but this loss in armor if offset Tabi's. You gain CDR and Armor Pen passively with the Attack Speed (for denting blows) and Movement Speed (Chase Down) with the active. From Zephyr you would get 23 less AD for a lot of Attack Speed plus CDR, Movement Speed, and the Tenacity you lost from not having built Merc Treads. These two items also aren't all that more expensive at 400 and 550 gold more.

In the Merc Treads build, instead of Maw, I wonder if it would be more useful to build BotRK. With the switch you lose a potential ~50 AD and 36 MR which, while a lot, I feel isn't overly bad considering the additional attack speed which allows for more procs of denting blows which I think would go nicely with the percentile health damage the item offers in addition to the insanely useful active.

I also feel The Legendary Armor mastery should be reconsidered in just about every guide that uses it. It's benefits seem more impactful than they actually are. With the Tabi build, for instance, Legendary Armor adds roughly 5 Armor and 2 MR at all times, for three points into the mastery. Defender however gives 1 of each per enemy champion nearby for one mastery point. It just seems more useful overall to me and frees up points to be used elsewhere.

Rune wise, I like scaling MR better than flat personally in most situations. I play support so this is especially true since I tend to deal with Physical Damage until the scaling catches up with the flat values. It might be different with a Jungler, but I imagine the fact that they're not in a lane against magic damage, they might be able to also utilize scaling MR better than flat.

I'd also like to mention, considering the fact that Vi has a decent selection of gap closers, the Captain enhancement might not be a bad Boots 3 to grab since she'll most likely be one of the first champs to enter the fray and be ahead of the team which will allow them to catch up more easily.

Again this is all just theory, not anything I've actually tried. Overall though I thought this was a pretty good guide with lots of details on what to do in various situations.
