Hello.
This is my first guide on mobafire and it is still undes construction. As English is not my native language, there will propably be a lot of mistakes in the text, sorry for that. If you like the guide, give it a positive revision please :)
This guide shows a new way to play Vi toplane. Try it out in normal games, as Vi toplane is not easy to play, because she is realy weak 1vs1, especialy in the early game.

Vi toplane is a full tank char with alot of cc, so pick her if your team mises cc. Also be aware that you have to communicate with your junge, so this guide is realy good for Duo Partners, who want to play top and jungle.
Dont pick Vi vs some hard lane pusher like Riven or Jax. Pick her vs some slow push champs, which stay at lane all time, like Nasus or other tanks like Maokai.
NEVER pick vi vs Rengar. If you go jungle he can easily follow you, and cause of his passive you cant do anything vs him in jungle. Futhermore you can´t 1vs1 him till you finishged your first items.

This are the Runes i normally use. But you can go also for Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist, as the most top are ad and you need magic resistance more after laning phase.

These Masteries give you enozgh demage to be able to put a lot of damage down, even if you buil full tank. But if you want to go even tankier you can go for more defensive masteries, even if i wouldnt recommend you to do so as far as you are not the only tank in your team.

I regulary take this boots, as it gives you reduction of the duration of stuns, slows, etc.

Take them if the enemy has a double adc composition or is hard ad.

I would suggest everyone who is trying this build to take this item. It gives you a much higher damageoutput, gives you more movement speed, which you realy need as you haven´t got Flash, and even provides you some health.

You will need this Item aswell. It gives you the extraamount of health which you realy need. Alternative you can go Skirmisher's Sabre. Go for this if the enemy carry kills you realy fast, although you are pretty tanky, as it reduces his damage to you by 20%. But normally go for Stalker's Blade, as you can slow the enemy, which is normaly usefuller for you, as you havent got flash, and you can hit your Q easier.

Vi is a bad laner vs a lot of champs. So try to play passive, put dmg on your lane oponnent without getting dmg yourself and farm when you are on lane. Push harder and go for jungling and ganking mid as possible.

In Teamfight you have to keep the enemies away from your damagedealers. You can use your q for that. Wait still the enemy adc or other carries comes to close to you and catch him with your ulti. He usualy can´t 1vs1, cause of your high armor and so he wont be able to stay at teamfight or you can even kill him instantly. If you can take him down early int the fight, your team will win the teamfight. You can also invade into fight, so try to hit your Q, and you will get a shield aswell.
