Choose Champion Build:

  • LoL Champion: Viktor
  • LoL Champion: Viktor

Introduction

Ok this is just for fun.

And because I feel nothing is set in stone and sometimes we take this game and ourselves too seriously.

I liked the animation of Viktor's auto-attacks and figured I should try an AD build just for laughs.

I tried to go pure AD (Infinity Edge, Phantom Dancers, Bloodthirster as core items),
but, I like the Hybrid dps build better. Also, I think it works. huehuehue.

Pros / Cons

PROS:
- Last hitting is easier due to high attack damage
- Can save spells fully to harass because of that
- The base damage of your spells is scary even early game
- Combined with your auto-attacks your burst and follow up damage-over-time is scary,
especially once you have your ult
- You shoot little meteors when you crit

CONS:

- Team select can be tricky because you will miss an AP carry if you don't inform your team
- If you DO inform your team you're going Hybrid they might put on their trollfaces >.<

Runes

3x Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage
9x Greater Mark of Attack Damage

- Typical Ad Ranged in my book, the ad marks and quints give you a nice early game because last hitting is easier. Also, who expects Viktor to come out with 75 AD at lvl 1?
(note: I used to have armor pen runes here but actually full ad seems to work better.)

Greater Seal of Scaling Mana Regeneration - Mana regen per level yellows to keep skills available.

Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist - Magic resist per level to counter AP carries late game.

Masteries

Here I've also went for what I think is a fairly standard hybrid dps build,
taking points in both Weapon Expertise and Arcane Knowledge ,
then Vampirism , more armor pen Sunder , moar damage Executioner .

Also defensive with even points in Resistance and Hardiness and Veteran's Scars for extra HP, lovely.

Summoner Spells

1#: I like Flash, trade for Ghost if you prefer, if you're good with Gravity Field you might not need it so you could trade for Teleport.

2#: Because Victor has Gravity Field I don't feel I need Exhaust so I bring Ignite.

Skill Sequence

This skill sequence is because you are trying to maximize the amount of damage early game that you don't take so you have sustain and durability. Also since you'll be using your spells for utility mostly, we want Power Transfer and we want Gravity Field, we don't really need Death Ray early on.

The stun on Gravity Field doesn't increase in duration, but the slow is stronger every level, I take a few points depending on my mood and start maxing Death Ray by mid-game to help out with the long range finish. (This is also when you have a bit of ability power from Hextech Gunblade and Trinity Force.)

DEATH BY RAY!! huehuehue

Items

OK so we're going hybrid.
edit: I realized going ad/hybrid works a lot better if you rush a B.F. Sword so I have updated the item sequence to reflect this.

Doran's Blade: I think is still really good, although you might prefer to start;

Boots Health Potion Health Potion Health Potion

Get an extra Doran's Blade if you can't afford a B. F. Sword

B. F. Sword: I am going to be bold here and state matter of factually that,
getting this item a.s.a.p. determines the success of any AD build.
(Get this before boots if you can't afford both)

Infinity Edge: We want to maximize our physical damage output. And same reason as above.

Sheen: Basically free crit with Q proc every 4 sec, and some AP ofc.

Zeal: Get those meteors flying more frequently.

Boots of Swiftness: To make it easier to land our stun, run and chase.

I upgrade Evolving Technology after this, i take the increased range on Gravity Field to round off the strategy as landing this skill will nett you kills throughout the game.

Trinity Force: Because it gives a little bit of everything and we proc it with Q.
Phantom Dancer: If you're going full AD upgrade from zeal and don't get Sheen.

Hextech Gunblade: Because we want lifesteal and spellvamp which both benefit our build.
Bloodthirster: If you're going full AD get this instead of Hextech Gunblade.

Last Whisper: Increase your armor pen to the 46% cap.
(note: included this after changing the runes to full AD)

There are quite a few items to consider after this, if you get that far into the game:
Guinsoo's Rageblade: Works on most hybrid builds.
Black Cleaver: chop, chop, chop.

I mean, this is a fun build so splurge and get crazy dps items you think might work depending on the team you're up against. I think the fun thing about building ad/hybrid is you can go for a huge range of situational items.

Gameplay Summary

Cool so this is my gameplan:

note: I believe this game is won on farm and it speaks for itself, so I wont mention it other than here. Farming with victor becomes very easy with high autoattack damage, 'nuff said.

pre-lvl6: Open with Power Transfer, start landing autoattacks, landing a Gravity Field is always good, moar autoattacks, back off when shield breaks/you start melting really bad/any other reason to stop shooting meteors and not kill the poor soul you're up against, retreat, repeat.

Once you take a point in Death Ray obviously follow up with it to finish off runners { Ghost, Master Yi, Olaf) and blinkers ( Flash, Ezreal, LeBlanc, Kassadin, Katarina). Remember you can also Death Ray the sneaky stealthy ones ( Shaco, Akali, Twitch, Evelynn) with good prediction and a bit of luck.

post-lvl6: Land Gravity Field then everything else, remember to (re-)direct Chaos Storm and remember to autoattack. very simple. It all comes together by the utility you provide to your team and yourself by landing your Gravity Field then going in for the kill. huehuehue.

Keep in mind, Viktor shoots little comets when he crits so spam shift + 4 when you've seen one hit.

Thank you for reading this guide, I hope you'll have fun playing this build if you do.
Please vote and comment when/if you have. Peace
