Introduction

Hi and welcome to my Viktor guide. Viktor is a ap burst champion. He has good poke with his e, a stunning/slowing cc with his w, a point and click q which gives him a temp shield, and his aoe q which silences if casted on top of someone. Viktor can be built many ways due to his hex core, this is my version of him as I like being able to support my team far enough away to not get focused but want the enemy to feel that I am in that team fight.

Runes

http://edge4.mobafire.com/images/rune/greater-mark-of-insight.png = Mag pen is important for burst champions and this with your boots will give you good burst damage until they build mr.

http://edge4.mobafire.com/images/rune/greater-seal-of-clarity.png = I choose per level over flats because normally you are mid and leveling fast. With the rest of your build at 18 almost 35 mana per 5 is pretty helpful.

http://edge4.mobafire.com/images/rune/greater-glyph-of-force.png = Per level runes again because you will be leveling very fast and late game with your quints you get a total of 50.76 ap just from your runes. It also allows you to harass harder even if you are getting less farm for items.

http://edge4.mobafire.com/images/rune/greater-quintessence-of-force.png = To me getting 23.22 ap from 3 runes is better then getting 14.85 from flats. Late game is all the more ap you can get with your deathcap more burst you can deal.

Masteries

For burst mages 21/0/9 is pretty effective it helps early giving you a bit of starting ap and later on helps your burst when they are low health. Adds to your mana regain and late game when you have blue buff you can spam abilities as soon as they are off cool down.

Skill Sequence

I put they way I normally would like to have my skills, however it all depends on the game and who your laning against. If you need to zone them take more points in your e, if they like stay close to you level your q and stay behind minions. I only take his w at level 4 and don't put any more points into until I have nothing left to spend it on. Reason for it is good for escaping from most ganks early on, and maybe getting that kill early, but its point it for mid/late game in team fights drop this around whoever the enemy team is focusing after they/you initiated and burst them down with your r/e and kill weaker squishes with your q after your starting burst.
