Joedaddy here with my first build so don't go to harshly. Remember this is a build for experienced players who have played vlad a lot and are looking to max out their stats.

Masteries

- I prefer 9/0/21. Do what you want here but this is what I recommend.

Runes

- Standard runes for him, remember his passive is for every 25 hp you get 1 AP and for every 1 AP you get 1 health. This does not stack off each other. Getting health runes is a must to make you much less squishy early game while still adding to your DPS.

Skill sequence

- I max out transfusion first. The higher the level it is the less the CD making you more potent. I also don't max out pool of blood first. It is a great skill but very costly and should only be used in a gank or to get away from one. NOT to farm minions or to harass a target. Tides of blood is a very good skill for clearing creeps or adding extra damage during team fights as it is Aoe. Grab your ult when ever possible derp derp.

Item build

- Boots first. This allows you to be able to catch up to fleeing victims of first blood. Or lets you run away from MF who has been shooting at you non stop instead of farming. Get boots first instead of Amplifying Tome because it allows you to start out with 3 pots instead of 1. If your match starts off with you being 2/0/0 you want to invest in snow ball items. Grab the Soulstealer first because it is more important to have more stacks on it than the Leviathan. If you end up not doing well or just your team is feeding then instead skip to scepter then get lich bane as your final item. Pick up the Leviathan second because you want your stacks as early in the game as possible. If the case is your not doing hot or your team is feeding instead of leviathan grab warmogs. Next you want to get the Crystal Scepter because you want your attacks slowing mid game for ganks. The ring is where it is at. It provides a large chunk of AP and it also has a great active that is key to surviving team fights if your being concentrated and can get you those much needed seconds for your abilities to not be on cooldown to finish off a target. Finally the void staff is the next choice as it gives you the extra 40% magic pen you need for those tank thats stacked magic resist.
