Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
NOTE: I do know that is says to put lvl 13,14,15,17,18 into transfusion but that's supposed to be tides of blood. for whatever reason it wont change. you dont want tides of blood until late game.
Vlad: Zomg This Guy's Annoying
This is the first build I've posted and I hope you enjoy it. Here's how I play this new and, quite frankly, pwn champion.
As I usually start out mid with my Vlad I like to grab the tome and a health pot. This allows for a little xtra damage while youre spamming your Q ability to dominate the lane. Build cash in mid by harassing your enemy and crowding his own minions to keep him from getting kills. Remember, be wary of champs that have flash or a teleport ability. Youre not a tank at early levels. Once youve hit level 6 theres a good chance your enemy has either already died/backed once or at least half his life. Let him push a little and R+Q+ignite = dead champ. I usually have enough money now to buy a hextech revolver and regular boots.
Once mid game starts to happen I look at the champs im playing against. I usually end up building a warmogs first to build up my HP but if their bads and you want more dmg output w/ a lil more HP go rylai's first and then warmogs. I finish off my boots of mobility in between building either item. In mid game your new job is to let your main tank initiate and then ghost in when your enemies are nice and clumped and drop your ulti and lay waste.
Your HP should be insane and you should be working on finishing off your ring, if you dont already have it. Youve turned your hextech revolved into a will of ancients for stupid healing capabilities and your team is pushing turrets without fear of them hanging out behind them. You know you can dive them and it will be hard and brutal. Dont think you're god though. Still be wary of your turret diving and your health level. I enjoy, when pushing a lane hard, ducking into their jungle and transfusing back to full/near full. By then you might have your ulti again.
Hope this has helped and enjoy your Vlading.
Another Note: If im playing with friends and I know the chances of me dying will be minimal I'll choose a soulstealer early over a randiun omen late and let my ring be my last item. The soulstealer is amazing for AP at 20 stacks and that CD reduction is very helpful on Vlad.
No Mana means SPAM Q!
Get Smart about using Sanguine Pool. Ppl know of it's long cool down time. Also, remember that it drops aggro. Has saved me many a time.
Also, once you have ring it's hilarious to pop it as soon as your pool is over. Their DPS is just waiting for you to pop up again and that's just another 2 seconds of them being annoyed.
