A Hextech Revolver is ALWAYS the item u want to start with as vlad its increases ur healing so much as does it increase your Ap a little it is perfect item to get with vald and i dont ever want to see anyone play vlad and not get it. After you get your Magic pen. boots, Will Of the Ancients, and Rylai's a Deathcap is the way to go. After that you can really build anything. If the enemy team has alot of ap and/or magic resist then grab a Abyssal Secpter.

Flash: I use flash on vlad but u can easyly switch it our for ignite

Ghost: I use ghost for catching enemies and good escapes. You can easyly replace this with ignite if you prefer flash and ignite better
