@ Incendiax

Usually the combo for Vlad is Hemoplague, tides, transfusion, sanguine, tides, transfusion and so on. Since there is frequent intervals in between spells, you might as well get something that helps your out of your spells. You don't really see a 3 hit combo nuking the **** out of everyone when you play as Vlad. Vlad has the luxury for such items since they make great chasing items for APs, but not many can utilize it as they'll probably get r@ped faster than they use it anyway.

Not going to vote yet, the lich bane did it for me. Vladimir isn't the champion for Lich Bane. He already does enough with Q/E, he doesn't need more. Also it's a huge waste in terms of sustainability. 350 mana? No thank you. You're better off with a Spirit Visage or a counter item.

Mejai is kinda useless in most ranked games unless you are a 2000 elo guy in disguise as an 500 elo guy :) In normal games, it is kinda unsuited, seeing that you need at least 10 stacks for it to be useful (100AP total). Its only when you are winning epicly :)

Lich Bane is good for Vlads. As one of the late game items, it means you get a ton of damage by Lich bane's effect alone. Most AP champs are not good chasers with their low hp. But Vlad is one of the best AP chasers, seeing that he can tank quite a bit and heal back a lot via his skills + spellvamp. With his unique skills, he can chase down opponents w/o fear of ambush or people charging back at him to kill him that much :)

Hope that clarifies :)

nice guide but I think lich is not such a good option. I mean its good, but there are other items suiting this need such as abyssal scepter or rylais for the slow, but its good ;)

Thanks for the feedback guys!

@Lodus erm, I don't understand what you're saying
@murtagh you have a lucky streak then :)
@AwesomePwnage1 For me, I play Vladimir as a bait (off tank that is expandable after ulti)
I basically die after getting hit by a ton of spells (or try to live by sanguine pooling). After their skills come off, I will start to take revenge, ulti and let my team do the damage. Its a really effective method to keep your team alive (for few players since they don't like to die) and it brings us all together, like friends :) (Except it just makes them easier to hit with your ulti).

With their skills all used up (Most important is their utlis. Usually I pwn them so much that I get my items 1st, but if it happens, you're the ultimate bait). By relying on the fact they hate you (OMFG DIE ALREADY STUPID BLOODSUCKER etc) its much easier to get them to hit you and even easier to stage a trap.

Hope you understand :)

I like the general idea of the guide, but there are a few small changes that I would personally make. The Lich Bane isn't the best choice on Vladimir. Sheen adds mana and Vladimir's resource is health; you could do just as well if you threw in an Abyssal Scepter and another Rabadon's Deathcap. I also think that the Warmog's Armor is not all it's cracked up to be and many overuse it as an excuse of being invincible. In all practical thinking though, it actually doesn't give you all that much except for the HP gain and health regen. I also doesn't have that grand of an effect if you don't rush it to get the health bonus from kills. You seem to get it near the end of the game which to me, defeats the purpose. I would consider getting the Abyssal Scepter and Zhonya's Hourglass instead because you will already have around 3k health with all of the abiliity power that you're stacking. Adding these two items will give you the resistance and will stack into your passive. I would also recommend putting some CDR into your pre-game build considering that you're OP with the Hextch Revolver. The only thing to really enhance it is to be able to spam Tranfusion even more. Other than that, I think that it is a pretty good build and I enjoyed reading.
