Vladimir Guide
Hello and Welcome to the most unique Vladimir guide, a one that is diferent in possibly all ways from the other ones, thou without it would be a waste to even bother doing it. From the beggining I'd like to apologise for any grammar mistakes I made in this guide.
What will give you reading this guide:
A new way of playing Vladimir, not relying so much on health when more survability and pure damage.
Total outlook about Vladimir:
Let's start with saying that Vladimir is a manaless champion, now you think it's amazing?
Additionaly, he can heal himself.
*Woah*
Let's add that he has tons of HP and AP at the same time.
*Woah, woah*
One of the best initiating Ultimates in the game?
*Oi, oi, oi*
Sanguine...
*$%#&ing Pool!*
Pros:
- Lots of HP and AP
- High Damage with high healing
- There's now way to stop him, if he is fed
- Can wreck the enemy team by himself (Confirm)
- Both great Single and AoE skills
- Sanguine Pool... Nuff said
- Even thou he is not supposed to be a carry, usually performs such role
- Bad *** Skins and Quotes
Cons:
- He is really, really reliable on the team (at least until you get 2nd Rabadon)
- They like banning him in Ranked Games...
- Good for the player, he is one of the best Kill Stealers in the game:)
- Not too much of CC (expect for Sanguine slow)
The Three Ways:
A. 9/0/21
B. 9/21/0
C. 10/6/14
Ad. A:
9-0-21 is a typical Mage build, a good one for Vladimir, but it lacks defensive, really... And as an exp. Vladimir Player I know he doesn't care about Cooldowns as 2-3 of his skills kill the squishes instantly.
Ad. B:
9-21-0 is a more conventional way of playing Vladimir, thou he will lack some speed and Exp. Addition and that great Ghost buff.
Ad. C:
Now this is the one I keep on using for the last 2 months:
- 9 points in Offense, you know why.
- 6 points in Defense. Stop! Why only 6? Cause it's all you need to survive way longer against any enemy.
- 15 points in Utility. And yeah, still I must admit I pity this choice, but Movement Speed is a must for Vladimir, too bad... and hey, you will clear the jungle in 1-2 minutes so extra buffs are always cool, right?^^
So, the reason is obvious, more MPen = more True damage, and that's what you want, squishers feeding you!
Seals:
HP per level, they got my attention 1st time I saw them and I've never ever bought another Seals for any other characters, heh.
Glyphs:
Now, at this part most of you will close this page... Magic Resist and WTH, this guy is insane! No, I'm not Sir. Your basic Resist is 30, add 6 from Masteries and 14 from Runes for a total of 50 Resists, okay Mr. Caster-Mid, go on and Hit me.
Quints:
Since I never felt taking Double HP Runes and Vladimir is way more offensive I felt that 14 MPen at the beggining will be fun (34 with Boots). Just let me say, 30-40 is the most usual Resist for most of the Non-Tank Characters, meaning you will get right of like 90 % of their Defense on each hit.
Your Passive Ability. It.Is.Amazing. It makes Vladimir a Vladimir, if go all AP your enemies will simply... suffer. Don't waste that passive for Warmongs...
Each cast gives him an Empowered stack (max 4), increasing his healing and regeneration by 8% per stack for 10 seconds. Additionally, his next tides of Blood deals 25% more damage and costs 50% more health per stack.
Legend:
- Core: A must get item.
- Situational: Team-Dependant
Just read it.
So, at the beggining you will want to go Mid, take an Ampliflying Tome and one Health Potion.
Vladimir is probably the best Mid Champion in the game since he has no Mana and can heal himself + he is a great harraser. Thou characters like Teemo/Kassadin may be a problem. Here you go for a list:
Anivia: Easy to counter, harder to kill... twice. Rank: Easy
Annie: Haven't seen 1 on Mid for a long while, thus she is a total squisher, just be aware of her Passive. Rank: Easy
Ashe: Yeah, if played right she becomes a real pain in the ***, thou Transfusion will rape her later. Rank: Semi-Hard
Caitlyn: Damn, she is tough Mid Champion for Vladimir I must admit it. If you can avoid her auto-attack and spells correctly then it shall be okay. Rank: Hard
Cassiopiea: You won't see her much and she is easy to counter. Rank: Very Easy
Corki: Be aware of his range, he rapes when it comes to this. Rank: Medium
Ezreal: Dear Lord, I both love and hate this guy. He annoys Vladimir on Mid like hell, thou he is a squisher, but... I love watching him dancing... *crying* Rank: Hard
Fiddlesticks: Now, he may rape You if he is good. His Drain is better really Early Game, then you can outrank him with Ignite:) Rank: Medium
Heimerdinger: Good Heimer = Pain in the ***. That's all from me. Rank: Hard
Janna: Phi... Nice joke Miss The Squishest. Rank: Supah Easy
Karthus: Get boots -> Keep on Running and Laughing at his Lay Waste. Rank: Semi-Medium
Kassasdin: SUPAH HARD, that's all I have to say, I just hate playing against him on Mid, I despite him, I hate him with passion, I'm all negative when it comes to Kassadin, damn him!
Katarina: Don't get too close or her No Mana Attitude will rape you... Rank: Plenty Tough
Kennen: I don't like that Cookie-Ninja, really. Quite hard to outrank and he somehow matches you in damage. Rank: Quite Hard
Multi (Lux, Morgana, Ryze, Veigar): They are just easy to outrank, really.
Malzahar: Malefic Visions may be a pain in the ***, believe me.
Teemo/Sivir: Both with annyoing AD/AP/AS scale.
Later, after getting 5-levelled Transfusion it shall be very easy, just keep on ganking and helping your team in the team fights. Other than that Jungle in the jungle or kill the minion waves.
Late Game deal High-ELO damage, just like that, I've nothing more to tell about this stage:)
Spells: No need to explain that Ghost is great and you need Ignite.
Transfusion must be on CD all the time.
Thanks to Will of The Ancients Tides of Blood will heal you:)
I'm tired...
