I personally play Vlad as my main and I don't get the Abyssal Scepter, and ^^ The guy above me is right, and wouldn't you rather replace the Spirit Visage with a Warmogs for the bonus on your passive? Plus getting WoTA last is an interesting strat. I know the extra 5% isn't much but getting Spell Vamp early game you need the extra 5%. See you on the Fields of Justice!
Abyssal's aura reduces mr of nearby enemies by 20, making ur low cd spells really dangerous (especially ur E, tides of blood). Low MR+AoE dmg from Tides of Blood=A lotta dmg. Also, you can get a Warmog's if you want, i just prefer spirit visage since its half the price and has cdr and makes ur healing stronger.
