I wrote this comment for the sake of the champion. I know you wan't what's best for him and so do I; so lets make certain that he gets what he deserves.This isn't to make your guide look bad or mine look good and I will NEVER STOOP to that level.


No mention of Blade of the Ruined King and Wit's End Banshee's Veil. Need to put those in as they are also great items that synergize on him making him stronger.You need to explain why you choose each 3rd tier. The reasoning behind a good guide and great build is upon the explanation and the statistics and reasoning.


Secondly you say there aren't any strong counter's to Volibear in top lane? You neglect to mention a few very BIG META top lane champs such as Nidalee a champion who can kite you with her range and dish-out insane damage in cougar form even without a mark. Teemo a champion who is known for kiting and can deal damage over time and can control the bushes after level 6 and can stop most of your damage with a single spell Blinding Dart. And not to mention, Jax can be a difficult lane as well.

You don't have your masteries explained which leads me to say that it makes me cringe. Masteries such as Juggernaut and Second Wind are extremely strong on him! Putting extra points into the offensive tree isn't necessarily needed. I can understand the points in Executioner as his Frenzy is the main damage source but Warlord Devastating Strikes and Frenzy aren't necessarily great on him. He doesn't need a ton of AD and he doesn't build a lot either. Also wouldn't putting more points in the defensive tree be better if your damage is scaling with MAXIMUM HEALTH and small bits of attack speed and CDR.

Your runes look fine though. I would also say you need to explain why those runes, and why you take them. Isn't there also alternatives such as Attack speed Quintessencs and HEALTH SEALS. Giving alternatives helps to fit other peoples playstyle of the champion.

You also need to explain his spells and why you max them in a specific order. Some areas it seems like you changed your mind in which way to order them. Little things I also noticed is you forgot to mention Ignite an amazing summoner spell on him. Melee in your con section is spelled with one e. You also have a contradiction in your pro's and con's. you say his spell cool-down for his ultimate is low but you say his spells have high cooldown rates for your con's.
