Welcome to my champion spotlight featuring volibear, the thunder's roar. Volibear and a melee tank and fighter, adapted distructing enemy movements while dealing tones of damage to single multiple targets. Volibear is the new king of the jungle. He can steal life with his frenzy and he can also gank easily with the rolling thunder. I play volibear as a tank, so i make my enemies to ignore me, while dealing magic damage to all surrounding enemies with my ultimate.
For runes i take greater mark of alacrity, greater seal of ressilence, greater glyph of ressilence and finally, greater quintessences of fortitude. I start the game with increased armor, which helps me farm without loosing too much health, armor also will help u in late game, attack speed, which helps me jungle faster and of course health. Health is also important for junglers.
My masteries are 0-14-16, which increases the buff's duration and my utility, ezpecially my xp gained and armor and health points in the defence.
In classic i start with cloth armor and 5 health potions. i continue with mercury treads and wriggles lantern, which gives me lifesteal, armor and damage. warmog's armor and sunfire give me a great amount of health points, health regen and armor, enpowering my frenzy. banshee's veil, increase my magic resist and health and also creates a shield that blocks a negative spell (45 sec cooldown). Finally, i sell wriggles lantern, to buy atma's impaller and bloodthirster, which increase my attack damage and bonus lifesteal.
Volibear's passive is chosen of the storm. when volibear gets dangerously low in health, he rappidly heals himself for a percent of his maximum health over a few seconds. This ability has a fairly long cooldown. Rolling thunder empowers volibear for a few seconds. while he is in this stage, he runs faster when he chases an enemy champion and his next bacis attack will deal bonus damage and fling the target toward volibear (will get the target behind him, like singed's E). i take rolling thunder at lvl 4 and maximize it at lvl 13 and maximize it at level 15. Frenzy, passively grants volibear a stacking attack speed buff, with every basic attack he makes. uppon reaching max stacks, volibear may activate frenzy to damage a single target based on volibear's bonus health. This ability deals bonus damage against injured targets and healing him for 1% of their missing health. I take frenzy at lvl 2 and i mazimize it immidiately. Magestic roar damages and slows all nearby enemies for a few seconds. Minions and monsters hit by magestic roar are feared as well. i take this ability at lvl 1 and i mazimize it at lvl 18. Finally, volibear's passive is thunder claws. when activated, volibear's basic attacks chain lighting effects that deal magic damage to multiple enemies.
For summoner spells, i take smite and flash. Smite helps me jungle faster and flash helps me escape from difficult situanions, when i have less hp, and also helps me jump at the enemy location, surpressing my enemy and preventing him to escape. In dominion, i replace smite with exaust, without changing my masteries.
Creeping / Jungling
Ask for your teamates to pull u the blue buff monster. after taking it, kill the wolves and the monsters on the other side. as soon as u get lvl 3, take down the red buff monster and the golems. while taking the red buff, do not open health potions. get low health to activate ur passive and then open the health potions. U can gank at lvl 4, having learnt the rolling thunder. I recommend you to gank in lanes, when ur team has a stunner.
