Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Who is Voosha
|Hello I am Voosha. I play 3vs3 religiously and am very familiar with every aspect there is to it.|
Differences between Summoners Rift and Twisted Treeline for Quinn
Quinn is played and built more like a bruiser on TT compared to SR. I feel as if without the trinity force and static shiv, she will do no damage compared to the standard AD build, sanguine blade and last whisper. The speed boost she gets from her ultimate can cover a LARGE portion of the map. She can basically react from one lane to the other in only a few seconds.
Champions and Team comps good with Quinn
Although Quinn is an AD carry she does not need as much protection as other champions like Vayne. Protection is still needed but not as heavily wanted.
I like this team comp because Quinn or Lee can engage. Quinn can get into their team very quickly with her ultimate which can allow Lulu's ultimate to knock up 2 or even all 3 of the enemy team. Jarvan can fit in this team composition, but there may be a lack of damage.
Summoner Spells, Masteries, Runes, Abilities
You could choose to pick ignite up over barrier if you feel your team comp and teammates can keep you alive. Or if you think their team will not completely destroy you.
Pretty standard masteries, not much needs to be explained here.
Greater Seal of Armor
Greater Glyph of Magic Resist
Greater Mark of Attack Damage
Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage
Since Quinn's abilities scale off of bonus ad I feel it is best to get more flat ad runes. However, if you feel more comfortable with other quints or runes then you can run those.
You can choose to level up w level 2 if you feel unsafe about the enemy jungler or if you and your teammates plan on doing invading shenanigans.
What to build on Quinn
Trinity Force I feel for Quinn Trinity force is a must. The sheen proc compliments her abilities and passive very well. If you are able to leap onto a target with the passive on them, the sheen proc will add an absurd amount of burst damage early on.
Statikk Shiv Good attack speed item that's cost efficient. It will also add a bit of damage with the proc.
Sanguine Blade Very cost efficient for what you are getting.
Last Whisper Needed against tankier teams.
Lord Van Damm's Pillager Very good boost in damage but provides no defensive stats.
As I have stated already I feel that if you go Sanguine Blade, Last whisper as the first 2 items for quinn you'll do no damage. Or at least it feels that way. I feel you really need to get that trinity force before you can start doing damage.
Banshee's Veil Great against heavy cc teams.
Randuin's Omen Great item if they focus you and are heavily AD based.
Her Q is an AOE spell. I see many quinn's at lower elo using it wrong. For example, if one of the enemy champions are low and they are near creeps or another teammate, you can Q the creeps or the other teammate to land the damage onto them. You do not necessarily need to initially hit them with your spell since it is AOE. Her Q is also effectively a counter toward AD champions since it blinds. So if they pick tryndamere or kha'zix, Quinn would be a good counter.
Quinn's W is what makes her very safe in lane since it does reveal a large area around her which makes her hard to gank. Even if you don't spot the jungler with your W, there are only a few spots left where they could be on the map. So every use gives your team a general idea of where the jungler is and what they might be doing.
I also see some Quinn's using their ultimate too early. It should be used as a finisher in combination with your other spells. Being in Tag Team mode makes you move very very fast for a short duration. You should be chasing down the carry or running away with it.
When you get level 2 you can choose to level up W over E if you feel if the jungler will be doing some early game shenanigans. Otherwise it is standard laning, get cs and coordinate ganks with jungler.
During midgame you must remember that you are not really an adc. What i mean by this is your style of play. Don't be afraid to get aggressive with your jungler and dive straight into the enemy team onto their carry. You must always access the situation of positioning relative to your team and their team. If they are in a better position you should not engage. You should also confirm with your teammates when they are going to go in or not. From here on out it is communication that will really maximize your damage and survivability.
