Introduction

Hey guys, how are you. My name is ChaosDragoon89. Warwick here was the first champion I purchased and loved not only due to his own built in survivability from his passive, but also because his backstory intrigued me. I played with him for a couple weeks but could not get a good set of items together that complimented his abilities as the hunter he is. I finally figured out one that I believe not only increases his playability, but makes him a valueable asset to any team in any position. Yes ladies and gentlemen, this Warwick can be played on any lane, that is just how versatile he is. Enough howdy do then, let's move onto the man himself...well...wolfmanthing.

Runes

Since we are going for an all-around good Warwick there is a specific build to his Rune setup.

We are going to need
Greater Mark of Hybrid Penetration
This allows for Warwick to match up against many foes that would build different armor against your team whether they are primarily AP or AD, Warwick will be able to rip right through them all.

We are going to need this in the early game due to the low amount of Mana that Warwick has so he can stay in his lane longer while still being able to use his abilities without wasting too much mana.
or
Again, early game Warwick is in need of mana for which this can alleviate that pressure or if by end game you feel you still don't have enough mana you can instead use the Scaling Mana for that extra push

Since we are not focusing on Warwick's ability to Life Steal, this is an invalueable quintessence which can save him in the most dire of situations.

Masteries

Although most people go for the 21/9/0 or 9/21/0 set of abilities, we are actually going to be making our own masteries page just for this Warwick. For Warwick this peculiar setup is going to be a 4/14/12.

I know what you're thinking. This guy doesn't know a thing about masteries does he? Here's the thing though. you are again, creating a specific type of Warwick that can do anything you want. With that in mind this page was built to keep his effectiveness useable in every situation. Not only do you have your initial Attack Speed increased slightly by the Offense Tree, but you have your Damage Resistance, and your Mana and Life Steal upkeep from the other two trees. This might not seem ideal to you but it is indeed a tree to be reckoned with when it comes to the man of the hour.

Items

Running through and making all the core items seems interesting and fun to say the least, but let's break down exactly how you are going to go about getting these items.

First you want to start by purchasing your Basic Doran's Blade.

Next, once we have gotten to the point that we should recall, we should work on getting those boots that everyone so desperately needs. Not only that, if you have been last-hitting or have stayed in your lane long enough, go ahead and get as many of these items as you can.

and if you have enough to upgrade the items you have just purchased, I'd advise getting these before you leave.
Catalyst the Protector
Upon your next return you should proceed to start to build up your attack speed by building up to a zeal by purchasing it or the components used to make it.

After the Zeal has been made you should notice that severe lack in armor that you have been facing up until now, it would be a good time to build your Glacial Shroud.

With this you will be set for a little while, once you have enough you should notice that people like to try and get away from the big bad wolfwick, you can prevent this by purchasing a Phage.

with this setup, you'll find yourself somewhat needing of an inventory item, by this point you will not need your Doran's Blade anymore and can sell it to further your boots by purchasing an Enchantment of Alacrity.

From here you want to use that one free inventory slot to help build up the final forms of all your items that you want to purchase. In this stage you can build these items in any order you wish, but I advise that you save the Sanguine Blade for last since it will take up that last inventory slot requiring a bit more gold than you'd expect.

Most of you might wonder why that Rod of Ages is here and the answer is simple, Q it up all day. Adding AP to Warwick might seem slightly silly but to improve his chance of surviving team fights you have to increase the effectiveness of his Q or you are done for, not only that, the Rod helps in the amount of mana that Warwick has making it an invalueable item.

Keep in mind that you will also be going up against casters quite often so a nice alternative option instead of the Rod of Ages(if you feel you have enough Mana) is the Spirit Visage which will increase your Magic Resist to help you out of those tight spots.

Conclusion

If you've made it this far, that's great and I guess this guide might have interested you. I thank you for your time and patience for reading this and I wish to only say this: You can like this build or you can dislike this build it doesn't matter to me I only wished to share my personal choices with you. If you don't decide to build your Wick this way, I am not stopping you, and if you do build him after this, I appreciate the honor to have helped you build your hunter of the woods.
