My name is Amazingfullness and this is my first guide here on Mobafire. I am a Season 4 Top Lane Main in Platinum III and this is my way of playing Darius, The Hand of Noxus. Darius is a champion that tends to dominates the top lane with ease because of his early game power over most of his matchups. Together with this guide, you should be able to win any lane and carry your team to victory!

These builds are not set in stone and are always susceptible to change depending on the flow of the game. Ravenous Hydra as an item is part of my core build on Darius because it offers great early game damage along with the ability to farm waves faster to gain more gold. Don't go for more than two damage items (unless you are extremely fed and looking to end the game right away), otherwise you will be too squishy to survive fights in the long run. With a full build remember to buy an upgraded trinket and elixirs to go along with it. Homeguard enchantments are a must late game so you can defend turrets quickly.

As I've said a couple of times already within this guide, Darius is an early game oriented champion that doesn't fare well against teams that can kite well or survive until the late game, because of his bad scaling in comparison to champs like Nasus or Jax. Try to end the game as quickly as possible or else the enemy team will outscale you in damage and tankiness. The items that I build on Darius work around his early power and can help you end a game within 20-30 minutes. If it goes any longer, the chances of winning are very slim.
