Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Hey, this is Sneakyb32. Well enough introducing now let's get to the important stuff. This is my first build and I decided to share my insight and experience on the champion Riven. What I like about Riven is the way you can build her in all sorts of ways. She can be offtank, full tank, full dps etc.
Pros / Cons
Awesome bunny skin
High damage output
Vulnerable to ganks
The reason I chose the runes I did is because I like to keep my options open. Of course arm. pen. runes are always nice to have because you will very often meet someone who stacks armor and that can be a real pain in the butt. That's where the armor penetration runes step in and make that a little easier. Greater seal of resillience well it's kind of obvious why I chose this it's always nice to have a little survivability. Then we have the magic resist per level glyphs same story again it's always nice to have some survivability. The flat attack damage quintessences is because I just wanna kick up her damage as much as I can. So the enemy will start to flee even before they start attacking me. And if you ask me it usually works until you meet some annoying tank early game like Volibear or Dr. Mundo but more about that later.
Now I'm going to explain you a little about my choice of masteries. Well I've been experimenting a little about what masteries works best for me and I found out that putting some heavy damage masteries really works for me with this build.
The items I have chosen are mainly because I've decided to focus on making Riven full damage. I do that by focusing on attack speed, attack damage and lifesteal. I accomplish the attack speed by getting the obvious item Phantom Dancerand of course Ionic Spark also helps in that matter and that lightning it makes every 4th attack can really make difference in certain situations. The attack damage is attained by getting the most obvious item of all the ad items Infinity Edge. This item really can turn the tides of battle in some situations the flat attack damage bonus it grants is enormous, along with the critical it grants and the critical you get from Phantom Dancer really does some nasty crits all the time. And the lifesteal through The Bloodthirster I really love my lifesteal in every possible situation I can face with Riven a fully stacked Bloodthirster can turn the tides of battle in your favor.
Here I'll tell you about a little about my choice of skills in the order I have. Broken Wings is a must to start with because it's the only real damage ability you have. Then I continue with Valor because that shield is really a lifesaver you have no idea how many times it has saved me from dying. And of course we max her ulti Blade of the Exile as soon as possible. Last but not least I max out Ki Burst because I feel it's only important to have it early game not to max it out as early as possible.
