Very very nice guide, but the sky blue hurt my eyes, couldn't actually read the whole thing, just a skim :P

I think you should put Deathfire Grasp a bit farther up. The amazing burst and nice CDR always comes in handy.

Thanks to Rys Aberdeen, Jhoijhoi, The_Nameless_Bard, Arcana3, and Miss Maw for the sigs!

The only reason I held off on buying thwe whole item was for the sake of soaking up the gold boost of Kage's Lucky Pick.

I am considering removing all that light blue. It fits the build but irritates the eyes.

Thanks for the +1

Overall, quite a cookie. Anivaia = Next buy.

Just have some notes.
Crystalise...ehrm, Crystalize, Crystallize should be at lv 3. Early Ganks = Fokk'd.
WotA = Yay. Ult on some minions, and health back at ya. Duo stack.
Anivia is also one of the most efficent Mejai carries, so it should be over Kages if you know the deal.

Also, I prefer to have Ghost and Flash on any champ who dosent have a escape. Clarity works to, since your passive. No ignite. You won't be in that range to often.

I want to increase the damage efficiency of Aniva by focusing on Frostbite at levels 2 and 3 Anivia has amazing power through that simple 2 move combo of Flash Frost and Frostbite. Getting the wall at 4 is the first level it is actually viable to pick-up.

WotA is something that has to do more with play style... I advise going back with Anivia regularly, so spell-vamp is not a big deal with my play style. That doesn't mean that other people wouldnt do better with that item though.

I covered Mejai's in the guide, and I'm sure that it was rather well explained. If not, let me know what you think should be covered.

The only comments of yours that I have seen are nothing but aggressive statements. You are clearly not a constructive criticizer. Going to a guide and typing "dude cmon spell vamp" and down voting is just pathetic.
The advice you give in people's guides is clearly not thought out well enough to warrant your confrontational banter. Any time you type more than a few words it becomes more and more evident that you are new to the game of LoL. It's like you have a few items in mind and just wanted to make sure every guide on this site included them...
How bout you post your In-Game Name and let everyone see your summoner level and match history. I have a feeling that you are not nearly as experienced as your cocky comments make you out to be.
You are simply put, a rude and aggressive person. Hell, even your sig is "suck my %^$&"

lol just because u state matter of factly like so many twits don't make u right rofl. ur build relates to an AP carry yet you mix in so many defensive items (banshee's veil) not to mention failcore jpg clarity.

and as for being new rofl, i have this account "betazoid" which is what is already visible....with 300 wins + and another account "tomathome" with over 500 wins....

If every build on here was identical, why would anyone go to this site?
This site is to share opinions on what works individually. Running clarity and sharing blue is something that I do to help my team. You don't have to do things exactly how people suggest them on this site, if you are capable of deciding your own build then good for you. Just don't be so aggressive when every build is not exactly how you expect it to be.

Okay.

You're going in the right direction with the "tanky" anivia.

There are a few weird items and such.

Flat AP seals and glyphs are actually pretty bad, and anivia's early game is kind of meh anyways, have you thought of going with ap/lvl?

I actually like your masteries, there isn't anything wrong with them imo.

Clarity is a 100% no on every character.

Clarity is designed to help lower level summoners manage their mana properly, and is drastically underpowered and needs to be removed from this guide being replaced by one of the main 4.

Ghost, Exhaust, Ignite, and Heal are all options, i don't feel that you will make full use of teleport unless you go top.

As for items, in your first build, you go:

Rod of Ages > Ionian Boots of Lucidity > Archangel's Staff > Rabadon's Deathcap > Banshee's Veil > Deathfire Grasp

Rod of Ages is a good choice, I like that item a lot on anivia.

I kind of feel that CDR boots are wasted on anivia, because when you go with mpen marks, you are trying to reach that 30 magic pen, in order to get through the champions with 30 base MR and deal true damage to them.

AA Staff is REALLY early, you should definitely build your tear first, and build AA later when tear is done.

Rabadon's Deathcap is a little bit late because of AA staff, but after RoA is a good place for it.

Banshee's Veil is put in a good place.

Deathfire Grasp just seems weird in this build. It's like you were struggling to find CDR items, which anivia doesn't really scale all that well with.

If you are looking for CDR, i recommend keeping the CDR boots, but going with a Void Staff instead of the deathfire, and just getting blue buff.

I think the primary flaw in your second build is that you assume that giving someone other than anivia the blue buff is going to be an effective strategy.

In LoL, one of the best ways to win, is to maximize the efficiency of your team's resources. Anivia scales with blue extremely well, more so than almost any other champion in the game.

I would really recommend moving your mindset to "i am anivia, i want blue" as apposed to "I want to give someone else blue, because i can completely gimp myself in order to not need it".

In Short: Lose Clarity, Use ap/lvl yellows/blues, Lose DFG for Void Staff, and get blue.

Tri lane for life.
