I viewed the guide...and it didn't have an item that I thought should be essential. Rod Of Ages DOES give a bit of survivability, but is a charge-up, whereas something such as Rylai's can give you a nice bit of instant-goodness. Getting an Archangel's will make her mid game good and her late game VERY strong. I've even seen Anivia's stack 3 of them and be OP. The reason I personally thought of a Rylai's is because it turns GOOD medium-CC into REALLY POWERFUL CC. Me troll? Pfft, as if. So unless you make tear your first item, it is going to be hard to get that thing to its full potential. You would be sacrificing the sustainability of rod of ages for possible mana bonuses of archangel's. Yeah you are going to have a higher damage potential, but that's only if you max those mana stacks... Oh yeah, and IT STILL COSTS MANA TO TOGGLE YOUR ULT ON AND OFF...
