I mainly get Archangel's Staff as an option if I'm having a hard time keeping my mana bar full and not as a necessary part of my build. Overall, I like it more for the mana regeneration than the AP bonus that I get from it.
Now, if you choose to get this item early in the game, keep the Tear of the Goddess for as long as you can because most of the time that you're using spells, it will be Terrify into Bountiful Harvest which counts as 2 charges which equals 6 mana from tear as opposed to 4 mana from archangels; which means that you'll fill out the bonuses faster.

Like I said earlier, balanced damage is better, especially since the patch where {Dark Wind} damage drops dramatically with level and with {Drain} being so dependent on a channel to do any damage. Maxing one skill first makes u WEAKER in the early and mid game which leads to a massive snub into the late game. If you max {Terrify} all the way first, then you just turn into a walking CC, which is what your tank or support should be doing, not an AP carry. Why don't I max all of one skill first? Because to do so would waste {Fiddlesticks} damage potential and bring him from an effective disabler in teamfights capable of dealing damage to a one trick pony who can only stand on the fringes and wish he could do something of use.

I think this build is amazing, you seem like a really good fiddle player. 8)

I like the meki first, and as someone that teams up with a pro fiddle all the time I have to say this guide fits the bill well. In the LOW elo's i used to main fiddlesticks and tried everything from attackspeed life steal fiddle, no joke, i dont like to talk about that one very much, to falt AP fiddle which doesnt work to well either trust me and this is definately the best.

It does help a lot! The reason I don't like to max out one skill right off the bat is because I like to be able to consistently throw out damage and I personally feel that by maxing out one skill, you limit that damage output to that one skill and so you can't really do much while it's on CD. Your comment about his ultimate is spot on. Team coordination is definitely a big part to playing Fiddlesticks and if you and your team aren't on the same page, then you can definitely die very quickly. It takes a lot of practice to know when the perfect time to ult in is. Thanks for the questions and comments! 8)

Why not max out one of your skills first after adding one in others? That way your damage output is better.

To me, Fiddles, if getting a mana-based item at the start, I'll rather go for Meki Pendant first. With the mana boost, you'll never run out of MP to Drain back, making you last in lane a lot longer.

Also, Fiddles ulti is AOE, but it is still damage over time to those who stands in it. The best choice is to have your tank initiate first so you won't get targetted. You have to have good team coordination.

One mistake from that is Fiddles ulti in to kill me/my teammates, which just makes him food seeing that his team was beginning to back, so we could pick them off easily.

Hope it helps :)

Okey dokey! Tried out the new shoes and change from Kages and I liked the result. It gave me some more damage output early game and it helped out with my mana regeneration problem. Any more ideas, comments, or suggestions are more than welcome. My goal is to make a good Fiddlesticks guide and everything helps. Thanks a lot!

I would recommend using the magic pen shoes instead of the cdr shoes, and instead i would replace Kages lucky pick with morellos tome or whatever the smaller version of that is, more cdr and more damage.
